Like the rack but I only have three dbells (5, 10 and 20) and was looking for something smaller. Thoughts? Maybe something with wheels that leans?
@climberdad4 жыл бұрын
You could build one with the same concept but make the sides parallel so it leans into the wall instead if a tree. That's what I was going to do to make it more compact but I had to clise my business and sold everything including the weights :(

Nice design. I have a small space and wanted to modify this to add a back and mount to a wall. Do you think that the 60° would still work or would you modify the design? Also, how far off of the edge do you start the paddle bit?

Thanks fir the comment Steve. I wanted to redesign this so it would rest against a wall, super easy. But, I closed my business and sold the weights. I can't remember how far from the edge I drilled. Sorry

What is that watch that you're wearing?
@climberdad3 жыл бұрын
That would probably be the pebble steel. No longer available or supported unfortunately :(

I really like that one. A piece of weld spatter hit the face. Still worked but it was down hit from there.

Nice trick with the beltsander! Rack came out nice! Which dumbbel excercises do you recommend for climbers?

No you should stain it a darker color stain an then leave it.

This sort of design doesn't really seem to save much space. The overall width of the unit is pretty much the same as the width of the dumbbells simply placed on the floor side by side. if anything, this unit takes up more space!?
@climberdad3 жыл бұрын
Not the best for space saving in this set up. The goal for this rack design was to get the weights off the floor and look nice. At the time I had to much space to work with. If you kept the same concept of the design and turned each side so it was running side by side instead of away from each other and put it against the wall it would look good and save space.

what are the dimensions of the parts?
@climberdad4 жыл бұрын
3/4" plywood and a regular sized 2x4 fir the spacers.
