Happy Hearts BECAUSE OF Jenny & Missouri Star!! Honestly, no matter what some of us go through from day to day, week to week, month to month, having Jenny along with Missouri Star Quilt Company always brightens our day(s)!!! Now with Misty and others (such as Quilt Snips!!) we have more than the ONE day per week to get our QUILT FIX!! Honestly, if there were a way to work for MSQC online (because I live in another state) I would be the first to apply....I just think there's nothing like MSQC!!!! This is another amazing QUILT......which would look amazing in any color combination!!!

I came across this the other day and lived the hearts with pinwheels. I was set to make the irish chain quilt but changed my mind. Using a different layer cake and cut my own background squares. I've got all the HST sewn now and just need to square them and press. So excited to see the end result. Thanks Jenny...you are loved.

Ha ha. I'm not a quilter, I just keep making things and quilting them. I made a table runner with some plaid flannel FQs (wanted to see how flannel pieces worked) and added some white cotton pieces for contrast and guess what? I accidentally made THREE hearts. I named the piece "Hearts on Plaid." It is so amazing to me how many pictures can be made w HSTs. Love all your work and your presentations. Happy Hannukah, Merry Xmas, Blessed Kwanza!🙋

Has anyone at MSQC thought of posting the number of fabrics (Charm Packs/Layer Cakes/Jelly Rolls, etc) that it would take to make the Friday Tutorial quilt BIGGER? I've noticed that a lot of the quilts are twin or double sized and at times would like to know what I would need to make the quilt into a Queen or King-sized Quilt(s) Just a thought......It might be helpful(?????)

Am I right by saying that you won't use an entire layer cake for this quilt? Only 25 Pieces???
@francisgerry38834 жыл бұрын
Why do you only use the pre cut squares ? They are so expensive for most people like myself.
@maryschutte83684 жыл бұрын
It seems like you could always cut your own yardage into 10" squares (or whatever size square you wish), This is a very "scrappy" quilt so pulling from your stash would certainly work as well. Happy quilting!
@betted37924 жыл бұрын
Convenience. Promotion of product. What I mean is she uses the precuts to give us examples of ways to use them. Back in the day, seasoned quilters had a difficult time figuring out what to do with such a small piece of fabric when fabric stores started offering the fat quarters. Jenny opened so many doors when she started showing us it can be beautiful if it's scrappy. However, she always says that you can also use yardage. I just use whatever I have on hand. Once I know what it takes to make a block I'm good to go. Then I just repeat the block until I have enough to cover the bed or it gets as big or little as I want. Happy Quilting😊
@jennydoan574 жыл бұрын
Francis Gerry I use precuts because of ease, but remember they are just squares. You can cut your own and you could cut them any size and this method will still work! Happy quilting!
@lpgphotography4 жыл бұрын
Would this work well using charm packs?
@MissouriQuiltCo4 жыл бұрын
It would work great, Lisa, though you'd probably want to use a different method to make your HSTs. (Doing this method with a charm pack would be a lot of teeny-tiny HSTs!) Hope this helps!

@@MissouriQuiltCo thank you!

Was your binding cut on the bias?

Could you make this with 5 inch squares?
@MissouriQuiltCo4 жыл бұрын
Certainly can, Debbie, though you'd probably want to only make two HSTs rather than 4 out of each print square. It would also be a slightly smaller scale. But, it would look great!
@marybuchholz61864 жыл бұрын
What size do we square them up to?
