Can you explain his rate of return criteria? At 22 min, he explains that the stock moves from $9 to $9.80 and that would be "3 to 1" on your money. An 0.80 move on a $9 stock is a 9% return. What is his strategy in calculating these returns?

I started trading back in June with $500. That's probably insane just by itself but I knew that I didn't know enough to take risky chances until I learned more. I thought I was being way too cautious with very small position sizes and a relatively tight stop loss on every trade. I'm annoyed that I'm down about $50, but I know it could be a lot worse. That's why I love When Will the Insanity Stop. My $50 is nothing compared to losing hundreds of thousands, or even millions. Jared is right when he says that money management is job #1 (or however he phrases it).
@ensoniq2k
@ensoniq2k 4 жыл бұрын
It's also not about the total amount it's about the percentage of your account. 10% is a rather normal draw down. Being 90% down screams bad money management. Being 10% down from 100 million is serious money but in relation to the account size it is tolerable

I come from the Forex Markets and had enough from all those scam brokers. So made the step to stocks now as it is a regulated market. I study nearly 18 hours a day as I love trading and learned all on my own. At first when I see a guy showing his privet jets and his expensive cars I run away. As I mentioned I am studying really hard as I did when I was learning Forex. And I know a lot about Technical Analyses and systems and I can tell you this guy is a real trader. I have learned so much now already from just watching 3 of his videos. Super I made a trading journal already on basis of this system and now i am going to test it for a while as I have first been spending lots of time finding the right broker and knowing what my cost of business will be. I love what you are doing man, thank so much for sharing this knowledge and for free. That proofs to me that you pay it forward and you are not betting on the money as you have earned it already and love what you are doing. Keep up the good work, with the funny remarks and still staying respectful while being direct, SUPER!!!!

Level 2 is important before the market opens, I don't think that stocks are significantly different from futures. A preliminary injection of volume above the high and its absorption and price movement higher, and then the price of a high volume upon breaking through will be a reference point as a support level.
