I see some of these videos for cheap oil priming tools I figured out my problem I was just using a drill But if I had bit in the oil just pours out of the galley It doesn't prime one side of the head that's why I use a regular distributor to make a tool No one seems to really understand how the oiling system really works in these on KZbin. Because no one ever mentions this A distributor restricts the flow from one of the cam galleys to get oil to push rods and lifters

Made one out of old distributor as well. Took drive off ground teeth completely off plus a little to make sure would clear the cam gear. Cut the shaft at the top with hacksaw just below the stuff on top of it. Cut housing just above the hold down portion so would be able to secure it. Mine had a bushing in it at that location but if it doesn’t easy to find proper size and install. Reassemble. Use a half inch drill to run, make sure turning proper direction.

Your big block looks like she's ready to run have you found a new home for it?

Not yet Justin.... Looking about every day Craigs list -or Facebook market place for the right car... I did buy a 1968 Camaro and drove it around for a month or so, and decided it wasn't the right car for the 454 engine (it looked decent, but needed work on EVERYTHING). So I sold it and so still looking... Thanks for asking...

What would you charge for one?

Hey Roy, thanks for thinking of us! You can actually buy these off Amazon for less than $20. Most of my machine work these days is for youtube content for whatever project I'm working on.

A side grinder and a cut off wheel could get the job done... It doesn't have to look like the one In the video to work... Thanks for the comment...👍
