Thank you for your work and sharing trade techniques. I'm trying to get one of my nephews (who is also obsessed with Ray Harryhausen) some materials to study outside my notes in Stan Winston School of Character Arts and practical applications in haunt industry animatronics. I'm sure I stumbled on words there and the storm is cutting my internets out, but I hope you don't mind if I send this to my sister's kid to supplement his studies.

I think this is the first time I have seen you go into an FX supply house instead of Home Depot! LOL, I am a little disillusioned . :) Edit: oh you can buy Naphtha in TX? In the Republic of California mommy Pelosi says we are not allowed to buy that still. Funny I still see Adam Savage's people using this stuff in their vids and also Xylene. They used Xylene to paint their baby Yoda puppet they said. Thank goodness for eBay I guess.

Amazing! Thanks so much for making this one. I know it was an expense for you, so it is appreciated. As always, your teaching is "lights out" (lights out means next to flawless). This is really amazing. Thank you so much. I really appreciate you showing how you attach the hair. I thought it might be possible to use tube hardware silicone to attach hair, but seeing you do it gives me the confidence to try it. I want to use one of those Chinese produced silicone male torso plates and add wig hair to produce a sort of bigfoot/werewolf type upper body covering. Do I need to do anything to the chest plate/shirt before I use the tube silicone and add the hair? Any pointers or suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you again!

Hey Alan? I’ve asked around on instagram about what to do regarding molds that grow, well, mold and so far all they seem to agree on is soapy water with a chip brush should fix that. I guess my question is how do I avoid plaster molds from getting moldy, to begin with? Plus, besides Clorox wipes (which is what I used), what else would you recommend if it comes to cleaning mold off?
@StiltbeastStudios
@StiltbeastStudios Жыл бұрын
clean with vinegar actually, not just soapy water- and to keep them from getting moldy put them in a garbage bag with a few silica packs.
