Make a Wing Bolt from a Plastic Bottle |

In this video, I demonstrate a simple way how you can make a wing bolt from a normal bolt.
All you need is a bolt and a plastic bottle.
You will also need a heat-gun.
This life hack can be very useful in situations when you need a wing bolt, but you don't have one.

Simple and handy trick. I did show it before in “3 Things You can make from PVC pipes” video, but there I used a PVC pipe. Bottle thread is much stronger than PVC.

Wing nuts I use quite often. I've never thought of it that also wing bolt could exist. I've never needed them so I've never asked for them in a store. But I'm happy they exist and even happier that I also know to make them myself, if necessary. Thanks to you. In general I think, there exist much more things which have not seen in comparison with what I have seen. Maybe 1000 to 1, or even 1 000 000 to 1 or more.

Could possibly be used as an improvised wrench. Or even better, you could make a whole set of plastic wrenches if you had a bunch of different sised bolts and some spare time.

Yes, you are right. I did use a PVC pipe as an improvised wrench in one of the videos. Bottle would probably work better because the plastic is harder.

What Dremel tool do you use to cut plastic? Is it the SC476 cutting wheel (equivalent to EZ476)?
