Make ahead mashed potatoes

Love your tip about using the knife with holes. Have one...I think it's a cheese knife but will certainly use it to cut my potatoes from now on. My mother-in-law who was a great cook taught me to put a pat or 2 of butter into the boiling potatoes. That way you can cover them with a lid as they cook and the pot will not boil over. Recently found your videos and I'm enjoying them. Can't wait to try your ribs and your foolproof prime rib recipes.
