awesomehorse1678 The idea is to pour it out into a bowl and everything comes out in the right order. Then you mix it.
@spicywitch98356 жыл бұрын
EveryGoddessALetDown Yeah then what would be the point in putting in a mason jar to begin with? Might as well get a bowl to put the ingredients in instead of getting a jar to put it all in anyway.

wait why put the sauce at the bottom, it would be better to have the sauce in a separate container. it's going to be a pain in the butt getting it all out of the bottom of the jar

Don't believe this recipe will stay fresh for 5 days. I made pre-prep salad everyday. Putting in sauce and cutting juicy veg/fruit before ready to eat will make salad soaking and it will spoil in just a few days.

I have a thing for slightly wilted salad because everything soaks up the dressing and just tastes fantastic. Though I have found that it has to be eaten at least in three days.
@patriciahammett41976 жыл бұрын
Without the dressing I've made for 7 days, and it's stays fresh. I only use vegetables with cherry tomatoes on the bottom, then build from there lettuce always on top. My jars actually seal in the refrigerator, guess that's what's keeps it fresh.

Can someone please explain to me why they're putting salad in a jar? Wouldn't that the worst possible dish to eat a salad out of? Here's a thought. Use a bowl
@whiteheart7476 жыл бұрын
Its usually just for the storage, then you empty it into a bowl on the day (not sure why they show eating it directly out of the jars). A load of bowls wouldn't sit well in the fridge.

It's a trend. Diners and fast casual food places in my area serve salad in open (and usually neatly decorated) jars for some time now. When I got my first jar salad we made jokes because it seemed unusual and, well, super duper silly hip trendy. In the end it is just a salad served in an unusual dish.
