Thanks Landmarq! All these years I been seeing you work through the evolution of maschine and you were the reason why I bought my first maschine. Now as an intermediate of maschine, your still helping me out in my development.

Best description of using clips (why/how) I've found. Thank you!
@bigman725113 жыл бұрын
Since I've been using Maschine from the very beginning I've become a strictly pattern and scene user. Just like you, I create multiple patterns and also don't label. I also had problems having scenes longer than others. I would have stop and figure out how to make that area mathematically fit which is a royal pain in the butt because it takes away from the creative process and eventually I'll give up on the project. But after watching this and realize you can manipulate patterns and overwrite scenes which honestly I wish Maschine could do, now it's a reality. I can now retrain myself to use clips along with scenes and patterns. The only thing I dislike is how Maschine automatically assumes everything should be a clip and the ability to delete scenes and patterns from the drop menu. If you can I have yet to find out how. Thank you for making this informative video.

Great video. How to create a clip out of a vocal pattern and add it across the whole song in Maschine Plus, not using the software??
@aloharay4 жыл бұрын
13:00 I believe clips OVERRIDE an existing pattern, which is why you have to special things to select the pattern that is under a clip. Also, I think of clips as "off the grid," as in they are not locked into conforming to the scene grid like patterns must.

Cool, I have had the Maschine for some time and just recently updated it then messed with it and stumbled upon the clip part and the little time I did mess with it I can see how much easier it is than when I first tampered with the unit (before the update). You answered a few more questions that may have come up and thanks again for that one. LOL ..... You compositions are going to assist in the population surge as well ( I quote Slick Rick "panties been flung across the room"). Keep going and thanks again for the video.

how about exporting the stems with clips for mixing. does any one know how?
@Landmarq4 жыл бұрын
It depends on how you’re exporting. Do you normally export in separate groups? I can see how this would be an issue if your clip spans more than one group. I haven’t tried that out yet so I’m not sure exactly, but my guess is, the clip will be cut within the range of the group you’re exporting. I normally export the entire arrangement by sounds, so I’ve never had to face this issue.

They keep saying that clips is easier than the previous way of doing this. I call bull crap! This is way more difficult than it should be.. before clips, I could just hit my pattern, duplicate, hit the pad and assign the next pad, to the next pattern. That's what I'm trying to learn how to do with this clips crap!!!
