I bought a Bluetooth Amibo device from AliExpress (AU$9), I've tested with Diablo3 and Starlink (starfox) as a re-writable device. Pretty cool, but the .apk is in chinese only. I loaded that on an older tablet that I don't use anymore and used my S22 Ultra to translate the displayed items. I'll eventulally print them out I guess, but for now this is good enough.

Buy the PVC cards instead, they are much nicer to use and they have no price difference. You can also glue on the artwork of the amiibo characters on the card to make it easier to remember which is which.

@@internetexplorer9492 PVC is a plastic that the tags are coated in, usually shaped like a coin the size of a quarter or rectangle about the size of a credit card. Might cost a little bit more than the NFC tags alone, but it's nice to have something with some weight and durability

If you have a 3D printer you can do a split print, put the tag in while it's printing and it'll be read through the plastic

you can get NTAG stickers for a couple cents a piece on ebay or aliexpress. All NTAG and NFC (or at least most of them) work on the same frequency, so compatibility isn't an issue

If one has the time, you can cut out 2 small wooden chips, burn in the face of the corresponding amiibo using an soldering iron on one chip and the n sandwich the sticker between those wooden chips. You will have beautiful wooden coins with Nintendo characters on them.

I still TagoMo is more or less built around Amiibos would be great if worked like the old Skylanders app (which went deep under ground after they threatened to sue). You didn't need to write the tags, you just loaded the tag on the phone (or the skylanders the portal) and it transmitted the nfc data that way.

I used this tutorial, made the amiibo, THEN, I went to my local library and used there 3d printers to make a custom wolf link amiibo, and then I made the bottom removable, the reason its removable is so I can remove and add the NFC chip, I had my friend paint it, and BOOM!! Custom wolf link baby!! I am currently making a super smash bros smash orb figure with the removable bottom on the base so I can remove and add any NFC stickers when ever and I'm making an NFC chip case with labels for a portable NFC tag carrier, it also has a slot to store my super smash orb amiibo figure

Yes, and it will always(!) work because Amiibos use the same tech (ntag215 nfc tags). These tags are 1:1 copies of the original and Nintendo's hardware can't see any difference. The only way this will stop working is when Nintendo switches to a different nfc tech, which means new hardware and it will render all existing Amiibos useless.

Nugroho Adipradana A lot of people seem to be having that issue. I used androzip to unzip the files, but most people are havig success unzipping on PC then transferring the files.

it is possible to unzip files directly from the note 8. Using just the note 8 alone (no computer):' Download everything from this video's description. Make sure you've enabled the function to download and install from chrome via the phone's privacy settings. Unzip the amiibo files and install the apk file. you can find these with the "My Files" app preinstalled. the files should be in the "download" folder in your internal storage. Provided you have the right phone and knowhow, you shouldn't need a computer at all for this process.
