I have always enjoyed your attitude toward fixing things - patience and persistence. Thanks for posting - it will be fun to see how this ultimately turns out - should be very good.

Also, some of that damage and HARD MISUSE could be attributed to hired help OR farmers family who just dont care

@@richarddpetersen169 As Blake said, getting near the end of time they keep equipment, repairs fall into two categories, it needs it to keep going, or, the next owner can fix it. Best wishes.

I felt that hit on your eye through the video! Looks like that will be a very nice machine, when you get done with it. Just pressure wash everything every weekend the weather is good, and the dairy perfume will eventually go away. 😁

You restored my faith in my "fleet". My backhoe is a 30ish year old NH/Ford and my CTL is a 15 year old Gehl straight from the dairy. They are both rough but neither one is rougher than that five year old loader. At least they got all their glass and doors. I used to live in Loveland. I worked up around Cheyenne quite a bit and used to run into some locals with, uhmm, ocular alterations of a similar type to the one you are sporting. I always thought gin mill. Apparently I was projecting.

Should be a lot of life left for long term use. It's good to know it will be taken care of now. A useful video for other used equipment buyers. Thanks for the overview.

Man you are lucky you didn't loose that eye ! Thats one of those machines like some that come here to be fixed. If you wash it clean the cab and just fix the lights and broken glass it went up 10K in value just in looking better cosmetically . Thanks for the video, Take care.

Never seen a machine die from maintenance have seen plenty of them die from lack of. It always amazes e when guys say I just dont have time to fix this or that, and then when a machine goes down they scream how they cant afford to be down because it ran into problems from temporary fixes that never were fixed right or things they never fixed or maintained and last time I check even used machines weren't cheap.

I work fixing livestock tractors, It's called 1 careful owner and 99 rough idiot drivers working in the feedlot. I got the odd bits some cattle wreck as well . The sad part is even if they traded it on a new machine they'd wreck that just the same !

About the loader sensor adjustment. The sensing distance on unshielded proximity sensors is typically the diameter of the sensor. I would say for this application you would want the sensor to be about 1/2 of the sensor diameter away from the flag rod.

I find it amazing how many parts were missing or broken. Fenders, battery box, and tail lights I understand. What happened to the A/C vents, speaker grille, door and window? I don't have any idea what a loader costs, but I'm sure its not cheap. You would think the owner or regular operator would take better care.
@AirplaneDoctor_3 жыл бұрын
Both dairy and poultry farms are bad environments for equipment, manure is a huge factor for killing the machines. Add to that employees who don’t have a vested interest in the machinery and it’s a perfect combination for running equipment into the ground prematurely compared to say a cash crop operation.

I really like this little loader. I am jealous, I have a nice tractor and skidsteer but would love a dedicated wheel loader mabey just a bit bigger model. I have seen a few listed but as of Feb. 22' prices are crazy and the market is shit. Hopefully next year I can purchase the neighbors 450 dozer, another skidsteer right at 75 hp and an articulated wheel loader that weighs about 12,000#. How much does the one you have weigh??? Let me know thanks!!!

After watching this, ten percent of online bidders pulled their bids. I always expect damages to exceed what they seem to be an some companies want volume versus pretty meaning if the machine was never designed to do but pushed into that line of work, it was a permission to trash with no remans so you have a machine that hopefully is more labor than damage to fix. I didn't pay attention to who owns it, you or someone else as that says how much will get fixed. Ah, don't get me started on how everyone would like a chance to run it while still new to farm but first problems that seem bad just might be found now and a tax write off, and then six months later again by its new owner.

That loader really isn’t in bad shape. With 2500? Ish hrs? Operators on the railroad would have it 3x worse from new in only about 300-400 hrs. Bad thing about being a mechanic for a big company, that machine isn’t the operators, they don’t have to pay for the repairs, so they don’t care! (Not all of them are like that). Make sure you change the final drive oil! Put a good synthetic like Schaefer’s, or AMS oil in! Not a bad loader by any means!
