My mullein and Wild Lettuce and White Yarrow have done GREAT in growing in my raised garden beds in my backyard. I bought my seeds off Amazon, and they're doing good. :)

@@nmr3352 Just a tip: see if the seeds need to be cold stratified or not. Many of these seeds are designed to go through the winter before they will germinate in the spring. If I sow seeds at my bugout property: I typically sow them in the fall so they can cold stratify over the winter and then start growing in the spring. If I am going to plant them at home: I typically put the seeds in my refrigerator over the winter and then plant them in the spring. :)

Its too late in the season, but ready-up for doing Spring air-layering and cloning of wild trees and vines in the forest, and bring them back to the house for a new prepper, permaculture, multiple canopy food forest domestic orchard and vineyard. Wild raspberries, wild blackberries, wild seaberry, wild gooseberries, wild currants, wild mulberries, wild grapes, pawpaws, hickory, pecan, ... and whatever else (feral old farmland apples, cherries, filbert/hazelnut, ...). Do branch air layering in the early Spring with Rootone and root grafting on a substantial tree (or vine) branch in the forest. Eventually, you will be able to remove that branch from the mother tree/vine, and have a 5-6+ foot length of a proven strong and healthy tree with leaves, or vine with leaves, transplanted into your new orchard and vineyard. PROPERLY PREPARE all the needed deep soil cultivation for potting and mixed soil, for easy root growth and tree/vine stabilty. Add mulch and compost into the soil area for the maximum subsoil root growth and tree/vine in its new soil. Save the time, effort, gas, and going to nurseries to buy a tree/vine, when you can get a proven (in your area's grow zone) strong and healthy tree and vine, and air-layer and get a cloned tree/vine for your property. That's too bad they don't ship it to the UK. And I believe many of the plants (maybe not the trees, but at least the plants) will still be found in Europe. Fun fact: many of our most popular medicinal plants found in the USA were brought over hundreds of years ago by settlers from Europe. :)

Fall and pre-frost is coming. Time to go shroom hunting. Conch ("conk") harvesting of reishi mushrooms on pine trees. Chaga mushrooms on birch trees. Hen of the woods maitake mushrooms on oaks/maples. Turkey tail mushrooms on dead logs. Chicken of the woods mushrooms grows on many different types of hardwood trees, including oak, beech, chestnut, cherry, eucalyptus, and willow. Small and giant white puffball meadow fairy rings make most-excellent shroom medical products. White-inside puffballs are the highest of all mushrooms with the strongest of anti-fungal, anti-microbial, anti-mildew, anti-mold, anti-bacterial, germicidal ingredient as fresh slices, dry powder, or lotion ointment for wound treatments.
