Another great video! I've been learning gofun through your videos and I was wondering what type of brushes you use? I've been experimenting with different ones and found something I think works, but I'm curious what material the ones you use are.
@hiromitsu317722 күн бұрын
I don't know what kind of bristles the brush is made of, but the bristles should be soft.
@leelalee880722 күн бұрын
@hiromitsu3177 Thanks! I used some natural sable ones that are soft, but they're often very absorbent and the gofun would quickly dry and become streaky. Which works better for painting. But I found very soft and easy synthetic brushes to apply nice and even evenly without drying much at all until applied. Thank you again for all your videos, they're both inspiring and very educational!

Think of how much easier it would be to make a mold of the clay design and then cast the mask, but no, this man takes all this time and effort to hand carve it still! I have much respect for this craft and hope to own a mask some day.

I'm interested in traditional methods. Wooden masks are highly valued and can fetch a high price, but this is difficult to achieve with plastic masks.

Paulownia wood.This wood is not large, so we will add more wood where necessary.The glue used is wood glue.

The mask looks like that octopus that went to Shibuya to drink a lot of people. Accompanied by an environmentalist with trees for eyes, an old man with a volcano for a head, and a man with stitches on his forehead.
