I have several dispersions from Guerra, including PO49. And I also made watercolor paint from the PO49 dispersion, but I do not have a muller. I tried the palette knife-only method, but it (PO49) was the devil to work with. I ended up having to add dextrin to the dispersion before adding binder to prevent flocculation. I’m curious whether mulling the pigment (the way you did) will result in a smooth paint without flocculation. On a side note: if you find you like the process of making paint with dispersions, Guerra also has a line of them made from PG10. I ended up purchasing all 3, after I initially purchased the wrong one. The “Xtra” one in the PG10 lineup is a lovely almost fluorescent chartreuse color. It paints out beautifully. I would definetly recommend a muller. It grind the pigment down even further and helps make it smooth. I would also recommend not adding dextrin as if you add too much it will go chalky

Da Vinci watercolors have a manganese blue mix. It’s PB33 and PB 15. I have a tube. I can’t compare it to manganese blue genuine since I have don’t have the genuine, but the mix is lovely. I’m very interested in seeing PO49.

I do have some of the Da Vinci mix and it is a nice mix. I would describe it as it gives a manganese flavour but it's not as strong
