How big do you do the corners if you have to make a custom sheet? If the mattress is 10 inches deep do you do a 10 inch cut in the corner?

I add at least an inch so it tucks under. For my 5 inch mattress I cut a six inch square, for a 10 inch mattress I would cut 11 inches.
