NO SEW, Beginner Friendly, Crochet Dragon or Dinosaur/Dino Amigurumi Tutorial and Free Pattern

Here's how to crochet a dragon! This is my dragon hatchling pattern that's a smaller, no sew version of my baby dragon pattern! While I wrote this as a dragon pattern, you can also make it as a cute little dinosaur - just don't add the wings at the end!

I also posted a comment on the written pattern on the website but i am struggling with increasing to 24 in the 5th round of the body. I had 12 stitches since the second round but increasing only brought me up to 14 stitches. I don't know what im doing wrong, i have redone this about 5 times since this morning please help. I am using a thin acrylic yarn that i doubled up twice so that its roughly the same thickness as blanket yarn

It's hard for me to know exactly what's happening without seeing the piece, but it should be two stitches (aka an increase) in all 12 stitches, so it should be doubled to 24 stitches at the end. If you have less stitches, it's usually because you're accidentally skipping over stitches or not putting two single crochets in every stitch.
