Great video Sasha! Thanks for sharing. I have been buying various colors from the Local Dollar Tree but they have very limited colors. Once I learned that eyeshadow is mica powder I was able to take the eyeshadow colors I would never use on my eyes and mash them up into powder. Then I put it into the bottles and gently rotate. Great tips to save some money and make own. Try it with rubbing alcohol and a dash of gum Arabic. You can also add reinker for more color in the spray. I love mica. Mine are perfect pearls and the ones from pearlex.

Good idea ! THANKS. Are you still satisfied with your sprays? I wanted a cheaper option of distress mica sprays so I tried these sprays with my mica powders but they aren't colorful enough. Even adding more mica powder. How can I add color? Plus, my sprays got clogged. Maybe because I added cornstarch? Some have said that cornstarch fixes the mica powder...

You should always store mica sprays on their side...... Tim Holtz tip. That way the mica won't get trapped in the tube, ever.

If your using water I would like to suggest using distilled water. Tap water will eventually make your solution smell funky. When I make shimmer sprays, I use isopropyl alcohol, either 70% or 90%. I prefer the 90%. It dries so much faster and doesn't warp your cardstock.

You make it sounds sooo easy and ... CLEAN. 😁I drop so many powders and stuff on my working area, 😂🤣. I like that you use less disposable wipes, because crafters like us CAN and WILL make a difference ... I discoved you this morning in another video about making your own pastes and subscribed on the first view, because you explain what to do with important details you learned with your experience. I think your Arteza mica powder is very similar to Jaquard Pearl Ex. This medium came out before perfect pearls. So yes the Jaquard you have to use gum Arabic to make it like perfect pearls. Maybe Pearl Ex is available in other countries. Jaquard says it is ethically and responsibly sourced.

I have really enjoyed the last two videos you made, making your own glimmer paste and glimmer spray, and I can tell you had so much fun doing it all. However, can you please tell me which company the wishing die came from please. I looked at what you'd shared but the wishing one wasn't there and I LOVE that font. I am definitely going to try both these techniques when I can find some mica powder. Thanks also for the heads up about being responsibly sourced, so I will certainly do my research before I purchase. I'm in Australia, so will just go hunting. As much as we love our children, it's wonderful to get a break from them every now and then, especially when you know they are safe and having fun with their Daddy and Grandparents. ❤ it's true it's from India is an ethically sourced all but you can get Mica powder which isn't Mica it's you can get it source for moisturizers and it'll be cold pearlescent

I loved the technique but can’t find pure mica powder in my country, so i would love to enter your giveaway! I was thinking, but putting some glass beads on the bottles won’t help mixing the powder in the alcohool?

That Mica in your makeup might be from India to and makeup companies are looking at that and starting to use crushed oyster shells

To prevent the sprayer from clogging don't shake the bottles. Try swirly motions or lay the bottles on your desk and roll them. This way the mica can't stuck into the sprayer part of the bottle cap. You need to put some kind of binder to you spray 'cause the mica will rubb of without binder. Especially the arteza mica' cause it's cosmetic grade.

I'm surprised you don't need to use Gum Arabic in your sprays. With any mica powder I have used with exception of perfect pearls, it has been needed or mica is very easy to brush away. I'd like to be in your give away. Thanks!

Anything containing mica powder should be store on it's side. You can also make sprays with gel food coloring and add mica powder for shine.

Sasha, I know this is late, but I saw a video today where she used rubbing alcohol instead of water to make the sprays. She also,included about a tsp of spray hair gel to make the mica stick better. I thought I would give it a try. However, if your goal with the spray is to make color move, then you should stick with water. But if you want a lot of shine without drowning your card with water the alcohol may be the way to go. Just an idea.

I would like to be in your giveaway for the mica powders...what a fantastic video... you have inspired me to try this technique and use some of my large complicated stamps that I don’t want to color... As a hint I saw someone cut their straws in the bottles and it keeps them from clogging, also throw in a glass bead or marble and it will do the mixing for you as you swirl the bottle. Cool hints I saw as I surfed the web.
