Helpful! I ripped out a loooong zipper and replaced it, should have known your tool trick, might have saved me sewing, though I think it was plastic and that I doubt I could bend tighter.

true, but in that case it might be easier to buy a repair kit and replace the zipper tog or shuttle instead of the whole run.

@@MakeItorBreakItNow Since I buy my zippers at the local thrift store, they are fairly cheap - more work, possibly, but if I have to fiddle with a new part it frustrates me 😁

thanks this saved me a bit of a headache as the YKK zipper on my milwaukee heated jacket (Owned less than a year) failed to zip and I had to mess with it for 30 mins or more just to try to zip it up, thank you!

Yeah, I had a similar issue with my heavy duty jacket too.

Great! I had replacing my jacket zipper on my list. But since this one isn't missing teeth like the one's I've previously entirely replaced, maybe I can avoid it.

What about a zipper that opens from the bottom and top and the tab is stuck in the middle?

Try some graphite powder or a drop of dish soap to see if that loosens your situation.
