Love the idea, need more connectors though which I'm sure you guys are working on. Specifically corner pieces: 3 way, 4 way, 5 way etc. Specific use case right now is a batting cage, but I've built hunting blinds, shelving, and other "cagey" things that really need bottom corner connectors to be solid

Have you folks ever used it to build swing supports? I am building a swing that can hold 2 adults safely and was planning to use wood , till I came across maker pipe! Would love any insight !

What's difference between Maker Pipe vs Flexpipe vs Tink Tube vs Creform besides the label?

The two main differences are we make our connectors in the US in South Carolina and they are designed so you can build with readily available electrical tubing from Lowes and Home Depot etc. Creform is made in the US but is only available commercially for their specific tubing. The other two companies are made overseas and they're also made for their specific tubing that you buy online. Thanks for the comment!

Kee Klamp does all this and more, and is so much stronger. They also sell the high quality metal casters that seat in. FYI, no product like this comes cheap, but you can make literally anything you want then disassemble and do it all over again with something new.

I have recommended Kee Klamp to some people before for things like scaffolding and other safety related builds. They are great for that IMO and I am a fan. Problem is that Kee Klamp and similar products are cast metal and pretty expensive. We made Maker Pipe connectors out of stamped steel, which is much more affordable for the builder. We think it is a good balance of strength and cost. Check out some of the other things people have built with our fittings on our community! Thanks for the comment and interest.

Could you make stable structures for extreme use such as parkour? As in, not just able to handle human weight on a pipe, but the impact of human weight falling?

I'm searching for the same info. Want to make a parkour tag arena but connecting the tubing is the challenge. Scaffolding clamps are expensive, welding is permanent... looking for something affordable. Let me know if you've found a solution and I'll do the same.

3/4" EMT, PVC, and PEX pipe all have different OD's, so connectors may not fit so well.

Which size EMT? There are a few. 3/4” is a good balance of cost and strength. It was a former president. He asked me not to say. 😆

@@MakerPipe maybe your connectors are but 3/4 EMT are not sufficient when winds are 25 to 30 mph. I only use 1” & 1-1/4” EMT for my awning structures, but do use 1/2” & 3/4” EMT for other projects. I was looking for connectors to purchase, but I guess I’ll have to continue with making (cutting & welding) my own special connectors! TY 4 responding!

nothing is inexpensive anymore. i'm not sure these gizmos were ever inexpensive. if they ever were they sure aren't now.

It all depends on the project really. We’ve had people that have saved a lot on custom frames and racks compared to paying someone to fabricate or weld it. So maybe not inexpensive compared to pvc but inexpensive compared to custom welding etc.

Cost effectiveness is going to depend on the project, other material options and limitations, tools needed, pre-fabbed options, etc. etc. Conduit and connectors don't always make the most sense but there are a lot of projects that benefit from the price.
