😇 I just turned 50 & my makeup is just not working. Can’t wait to watch. Too many people have too many steps & it doesn’t not work. I have purchased travel size concealer and other products to experiment with new products.

One of my new favorite techniques is to use a bronzer as my eyeshadow! It’s a simple one step that makes my eyes pop and works with all eye colors. Also use the bronzer as eyeliner which makes a soft look (vs a dark pencil or shadow).

Heather, do you have any advice on protruding ears. My ears protrude and I haven’t changed my hairstyle to cover up my insecurity. What do you suggest? Does it affect your confidence? I hope you can shed light on this and how to handle it. Did you see photos of Demi Moore with her hair in a bun for the recent awards show. She has protruding ears too. In your opinion, what exhibits confidence? Accepting it and not caring if the world see it? Or hiding it under the rug and choosing to not talk about it at all. Please help with your advice in regards to this issue. P.S. Surgery is out of the question.

@@HolidaySpirited - hmmmm great question - I too have protruding ears which is why I always wear my hair down and over my ears. I just don’t like how I look with hair up for that reason. So how do you feel when your hair is up and your ears show? If they make you feel bad then I say always wear a hair style that makes you feel good…that is what I have done.

@@HolidaySpiritedObviously if you're hiding it then that means you're insecure about it, and there's nothing wrong with hiding your imperfection if it makes you feel insecure. Everyone is insecure about their body, no one is perfect.

Yes I do this! I will make a slanted line a few lashes before the end of my lashes if that makes sense. I will also sometimes skip mascara on the lower.

You look 100 percent better without this makeup, and I say that as someone who totally loves makeup. Your eye colors are great, your concealer and foundation good quality. But you use way too much. I cringed as each layer aged you, and looked more and more harsh and dated. Your natural skin is absolutely gorgeous, glowy and fresh. Your eyes are amazing. I'd love to see you without anything on your face except mascara and a bright red lip (not over lined).

But authentically though, is your face just naturally unwrinkled at 51 or do you get Botox and other fillers? Just want to be realistically aware for myself that your unwrinkled face at 51 is from these products and the makeup application and not from Botox and fillers.

@ exactly. No one minds Botox and fillers. But it’s misleading to an audience if you’re advising a more youthful look with products when you have those procedures done without sharing it. It’s not hard to say “today I’m sharing tips on how to get a more youthful look and with full transparency in regards to having Botox and fillers”. No one’s jealous or anti. Some people just want simple honesty.
