I'd say the Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes (because they last so long on the cheeks) or the Hourglass ones, a good primer (look into Smashbox or Benefit) and a good everyday lipstick or lip crayon (again, Tarte has some great ones).

do you think this curling wand set is good for a beginner. i have been contemplating buying this set for ages and im just so hesitant cause i always feel awkward the few times i have tried to use a curling iron or hair dryer. so i *always* air dry and very rarely use heat. the few times i did someone was is doing it for me. i also have short hair like yours and keep wondering if curling my hair with heat and risking burns would be worth....*all the hype?* lol. love the video and the way your hair turned out

I'd probably start with like a cheaper one until you kind of get the hang of it. I have theeeeeeeeee conair infiniti pro 3/4 curling iron. It's purple which is fun, and it has a really nice coating that does not snag at all, a bunch of heat settings, and I don't even have to use the highest one to get good, lasting curls. It goes from between 20 and 30 dollars, and is AMAZING for that price. You can actually use a clipped curling iron as a clipless, you just curl over the clip. And most of these clipless ones come with a heat glove which I think you could probably get at Sally's too. I won't lie, it takes practice. A heat protectant is a good idea, too, because heat generally is damaging. If you don't use it every day, your hair will probably be okay, though. My hairdresser says my hair is very healthy, and I curl it fairly often. Not as often when it's long because annoying, but short curly hair is the bomb XD It's also good for second day hair because I cannot wash my hair that often, but naturally curly hair can be interesting when you wake up that second day! If you do want curls, though, you could try like headband curls or pincurls or rag curls, where you start with damp/wet hair, shape it, and as it dries it curls itself. I've had good luck with headband curls and sock bun curls myself. They've been around for decades for a reason! Those do, however, also take time to learn how to do right. SO HUGE RAMBLE ASIDE - I wouldn't put several hundred dollars into something you don't even know if you'll like or use! Start off with a moderately priced thing if you wanna try it out, don't worry too much if you don't want to. Remember that it is a SKILL, though, and you won't be good at it without practice.

thank you, i will definitely try this if i decide to be more adventurous lol. i know, i do love the *curled hair* look but i had pretty much given up on the idea of me having it if i cant learn how to do to lol. and then it would probably have to be on special occasions since i dont set aside time to do anything complicated to my hair usually.

princessviolet2103 Heatless curling can be really fun - it can also turn out very strangely. The nice thing is that water can REALLY tame down a lot of it so it's really fun to play with. It is a skill. Watching youtube videos and watching the way they move the hair and such is a help, but you do kinda have to practice. That's what I would definitely say start with a cheaper one, especially if you're only going to do it rarely. Nobody instinctively knows how to curl their hair, lol.

yea i always try to catch heatless tutorials on my fave channels but i always find i don't have the time to do something special with my hair lol. its wash, brush, pony or bun and go. and maybe a decorative hair flower lol.

princessviolet2103 Depending on how long your hair is, a sock bun might totally be your thing. You can use like a dress sock, you know the ones like tights, or a baby tight for a mini bun. You like cut the toe off and roll it up, then put your hair in a pony, and pull your hair through the sock doughnut like a big scrunchie. Then you pull it to the end of your hair and kinda roll the ends around and tug and roll and tug. It is surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it, and it looks really cute to wear, and will curl your hair from the rolling. Some people do it with scrunchies too, I think. Takes maybe 5 minutes, though, once you get the idea of it.
