I think one thing people forget about (or don’t even realize) is that in the attack makima made on the gun devil, she did not only use punishment devil. In the panel you can see the snake devil's jaws, weapons that were made with angel's powers, arms inside the snake devil's jaws (which definitely have to belong to the punishment devil), and since we already saw all of makima's major devil contracts being collected around her before the fight, future and spider devils' powers are probably used to teleport the attack and use foresight in the attack.

16:00 This EM wave feat is EASILY debunkable, as Sukuna is shown in the exact panel before to react to KAshimo charging the attack. This immediatly just makes it an aim/pre-dodge feat, wich means he never scaled to the speed of the projectile while its moving mid-air. We never saw him dodge the projectile while it was mid-air, so its a completely unapplicable feat when Gege intentionally put the reaction panel right before to contextualize the feat.

Welcome Back! Love to see more CSM vs JJK content, and unbiased arguments. Nonetheless I think Makima wins, and most JJK fans don’t come up with compelling enough arguments as to why she would lose. Also tend to notice most JJK fans simply didn’t read Chainsaw Man to come up with a good argument or they simply didn’t understand anything when reading Chainsaw Man. (That or they know and wanna mess with the narrative so they can get their favorite character to win). Nonetheless, Chainsaw Man’s scaling is getting better overtime and recent chapters have gotten past and present characters more arguments for their capabilities and strengths. @@CoolOkay_ I gotchu. This might be long but If it can help others understand then let’s do it 🤷‍♂️. Thanks for being respectful too btw. 1. Makima can control those she views inferior to herself. Either through commands or through chains, and which chains work best, these chains are intangible which we’ve seen them extend from her body without piercing or causing rips on her suit or body. And with Nayuta in part 2, it went through the glass of a window without breaking it to connect to someone’s head. A way to bypass infinity since it’s intangible and would connect to Gojos head. In chapter 88 of Chainsaw Man, Makima says she naturally views Humans as beneath her. She can smell Gojo is human, and would already have somewhat of a set idea on Gojo and who he is. Some say she needs to beat someone into submission to control them, but she didn’t do that for Power Or Angel. She doesn’t have to do such a thing. Some say she won’t view Gojo inferior and compare Gojo to Pochita. However, Makima doesn’t view herself higher than Chainsaw Man because she respects him to a high degree, shes a fan girl for Chainsaw Man, and because Pochita can delete concepts from existence. Altering reality and the past to get rid of the concepts that have been consumed. (I came back to add onto this, but if Makima also realizes Gojo has no way of truly putting her down for good, she has no reason not to view herself as superior). 2. Makima has a contract with the prime minister. Now depending if people want to use verse equalization or not… Gojo would be from the same Japan, meaning any attack formed on Makima shall be transferred to a Japanese citizen and the death she received will be turned into an illness or proper death for said Japanese citizen. Meaning if Gojo hits her with unlimited void or hollow purple, it doesn’t transfer the same death, but will be a sickness or something proper to get rid of him. Gojo would either accidentally end up killing himself at the beginning of the battle if he kills her a few times. Or if he somehow makes it down to 1 person or the final 100, he would randomly end up getting rid of himself on accident. It’s a gamble and he’s set to die at any point in the fight, and if Makima doesn’t tell him how the contract works either, he’s in a bad spot and this plays into Makima’s hands even more. (The contract makes her Nigh Immortal, with 126 million plus lives to work with. Shes contracted with the lives of an entire country. It’s calculated that it would take 4 plus years for Gojo to Kill Makima 126 million plus times. And that’s just assuming Makima stands there and lets him kill her). 3. Makima shrine ritual is an ability that lets her get a sacrifice, to say the name of her individual target and smother them into the ground from a long distance. An invisible force that is impossible to run away from. It bypasses infinity by spawning directly onto Gojo and flattening him. As in the manga and the anime, it is portrayed to spawn directly onto them and smother them, and still leave their clothing behind, so it doesn’t spawn all around them, but just directly on her designated opponent. People say this takes prep (which it does). But she can use the spider devil to travel a long distance with no issue and no matter where spider devil is at, grab a random to sacrifice since she views herself as a necessary evil and will do what she believes is best for the world, and if getting rid of Gojo means she can carry out her plans to help the planet, she won’t hesitate to sacrifice a random or two. 4. Force manipulation is an ability correlated to shrine, but Makima exerts an invisible force from her body to injure and hurt someone from the inside out. Some people argue it doesn’t travel while others do… but from what we’ve seen it’s not a bad assumption to say it possibly does both. Makima was able to look directly into someone’s eyes and give them a hemorrhage and cause their eyes, nose, mouth, and ears to bleed. Also to note that this was likely without trying too hard to get rid of him, but this can work on Gojo. That and because she can shoot holes through people with invisible force bullets, and her force manipulation was strong enough to harm a primal, transcendent devil, like Darkness and make him struggle a bit. They won’t be detected by Gojos infinity, infinity requires mass, speed, etc. And it won’t be able to register invisible force projectiles. 5. Angels spear is something in Chainsaw Man that arguably moves as fast or even faster than light. And this attack even slowed down Pochitas regeneration. Very bad since Gojo can’t react at FTL (if you believe JJK is FTL I can explain why it isn’t in a different comment) and Gojo has RCT. Makima can also force Angel to conjure up weapons to get rid of Gojo, Angels powers were powerful enough to cut through Ghost. Ghost residing in the 4D plane, a plane above infinity. So these attacks are likely to work on Gojo here. Up to your interpretation. 6. Mole devil. Which isn’t something talked about much (other than this video). But it essentially grows mold on the inside of your opponent. Already bypassing infinity. But the mold continuously keeps harming the opponent until they die. However, even if Gojo has RCT, he would have to focus said RCT on the mold. If he tries to heal and fire reds, blues and, purples. Or even try to pop domain, he would be taxing his brain too much and he would end up harming himself more than doing any good. 7. If Gojo uses domain on her, it leaves himself opponent as it is said your techniques are disabled after using domain (he can still use RCT to bring it back I believe, but I believe Makima to be faster, and would close the gap and shoot his torso off his body). 8. Hell devil is another contract Makima has, and if it supposedly is a hard fight for her. She can simply force teleport him to Hell. And leave him there. Since Gojo is still human, he requires food, water, sleep. And if he’s constantly attacked by powerful devils and even the primal fears (since they’ve never experienced death, they are constantly in hell) Gojo will either end up dying from lack of food and water or any other essential human needs. Or he ends up dying to either Darkness Devil, Falling Devil, Aging Devil, and even Death Devil. So those are a few ways that Makima can win. Some might argue some options work better than others, but I wanted to give my thoughts so others can see just how broken Makima truly is, people really don’t give Chainsaw Man characters credit. Especially Makima, and most who use her in versus battles don’t truly know how her abilities work and use false assumptions or false translations. But yeah, hoped this helped 😂🙏. If you ever wanna pick up Chainsaw Man, it’s worth it, a really great series. And the movie just got announced so hop on board.

This was genuinely, very well made. And it was insanely accurate, however there's a slight problem w/ the argument of Go/Jo having inaccessible speed. - It's not a definite statement and the statement could as well just mean that the prisoner’s perception of time within the realm is distorted. Geto’s statement implies that prisoners can kill themselves within the realm which wouldn’t be possible if time were stopped unless if Every prisoner automatically scales to inaccessible speed. And; Gojo’s statement means that time actually doesn’t pass and it’s not just his perception as a prisoner. Gojo’s own feats in combat prove otherwise. He had to resort to using a domain expansion around where the humans were so he could kill the transfigured humans. Someone with inaccessible speed wouldn’t even need a cursed technique and would just have blitzed the transfigured humans or blitz Mahito, Hanami and Jogo before they could even start killing people around. Besides that, I agree with everything else as well as the outcome. Finally someone not glazing Go/Jo for once. Oh and by the way, a possible video idea could be Akame from Akame Ga Kill vs Obito from Naruto.

I’m not personally convinced that ‘bang’ as used by Makima wouldn’t work on Gojo. When she uses it, there’s never shown any kind of physical projectile, and it’s even able to bypass the Darkness Devil’s invisible barrier that blocked Denji earlier(I want to specifically highlight that when Denji hits it, we see sparks indicative of his physical contact with the barrier, whereas Makima’s bang/point just seems to instantly internally damage it). There *IS* some question on that one as she doesn’t say bang in that scene so it could be a different power of hers, but I haven’t seen any evidence for that so Imo it’s most likely the same ability. And even if we say ‘bang’ is different from that pointing ability, she still *has* it. Not only that, but it behaves similarly to her nebulous ability to cause people to bleed from the nose and likely die but at least become instantly incapacitated. This ability seems to be different from her ‘say this guy’s name & hand crush’ thing & we possibly see it again later when three gunmen ambushing Aki fall the same way, it being directly implied to be Makima’s doing. It very well could’ve been the same as the shrine but we don’t actually see any evidence of the preparations or sacrifices present for that in that scene.

The low-ball for CSM is that Pochita ate the nuclear weapons devil, wich is stated by Yoru to be plural, meaning the nuclear weapons Devil should consist atleast of multiple or inummerable nukes like the Gun Devil. The Gun Devil for reference is millions of times the size of a gun and being made of them, due to its level of fear, meaning the same could apply for the Nuke Devil. The Devil should represent the fear of people, sp things like the Tsar Bomba should also be included, wich with its full yield scales to mountain level and ther should be numerous warheads. And Pochita scales to the Primal fears, wich transcend Devils like it anyways. This is mountain to island level due to how many warheads and what kind they porbably are, like the Tsar Bomba. Yoru even confirms this by saying "nuclear wepaons" plural in ch 98. Primal fears like the Falling Devil simply with their presence are stated to disrupt the gravational influx around the earth. Overpowering the gravity exerted on earth like that would mean she wouldve needed to exert more energy than the moon exerts on earth, wich is 1.98x10*20 Joules. Thats moon level and yet this is a weakend form of the Falling Devil after being turned intoa pawn by Fami. This nerf is so great that the literal guillotine Devil cant cut humans or their heads, only cutting up their weapons/clothes with its power. Meaning this is a massive nerf to the point the Devil barely can even exert the power of the cocnept they draw power from. The mid-ball for CSM is that with how Devils mechanics and their fear amps work, is that when a devil has no fear they are as weak as the concept they represent, like with the Chicken Devil itself saying its as weak as a chicken. Devils grow in size and power with fear and consuming the flesh of stronger devils. That also includes the includes the sun/star Devil that Pochita ate, wich resulted in the sky being devoid of stars and that in the calender in ch 71, there is no sunday in it. Meaning it was a star devil that was erased. The base form of devils is as their concept themselves, as seen with every devil like with the Chicken Devil being stated as chicken level. Fear amps allow Devils to grow massive, wich also should include the Star Devil as its mentioned in the same vain as Devils logically equal or above it in fear. The Gun DEvil even with 20% of its body is millions of times the mass of a normal gun. As the Gun Devil completely dwarfs trees that should be 10-20 meters tall when it stood still to shoot Makima. With pure size then Pochita would also have to far surpass FTL to even fight it, or the simple fact Primal Devils transcend even what the star Devil being named as representing "a star and its light that breaks childrens minds". With the sun/star being talked about easily being the size of the sun itself, since its been conceptually erased and Makima says she only still knows of a few Concepts and their exact names slowly fading from her mind. Pochita reacted and moved faster than a light like attack, in the form of the 1000 years spear. The Gun Devils attack was able to hit Makima from 500km away in one seconds, making that a mach 1469+ feat at only 20%, making its actual speed then being mach 7295. Wich is far above the speed mid-balls for JJK, with this Gun Devil being a low-ball cuz its literally stated. The Gun Devil is shown with order of travel and time frames given in the manga to travel from Hawaii to Canada in 0.4 seconds, wich is a 5000km+ distance. Depending on where it lands that would make it mach 30000-80000, wich is a upto nearly a tenth of the speed of light. And thats only travel speed and doesnt include combat speed wich is way higher as showcased with other feats should scale way higher. Pochita also intercepted Makimas 1000 year spear from inches away from Kobeni, wich is portrayed as a beam of light from a star. Makes sense, as Pochita would atleast have to fTl to fTL+ to be able feasibly decimate the sun/star Devil, that Pochita and Primal DEvils should transcend. Gun Devil and Tank Devil arrived to Yoru in like less than a second and Mount Elbrus is loacted about 8000km from Tokyo and Gulf of Mexico about 11.500km. Its actually a low-ball to say about a second, as Pochita is just that fast that it would easily happen in fractions of a second or less. That would mean they traveled at mach 33500 and this is considering the fact that the Gun Devil is only at 20% so its true speed is mach 167500, wich is 19% the speed of light. And putting Pochitas slash at Yoru to an entire second is massive low-ball for the feat, as thats like assuming Pochita is attacking with a slower speed than a normal dude and his saw was inches from her face. And due to fact not even a normal person takes 1 second to move their slash at someones face, it easily scales into FTL speeds or higher as Pochita realistically noly takes fractiosn and fractions of a second. The Aging Devila also preception blitzed or literally froze time at a logically stronger and faster attack from the Gun Godess and Pochita has statements putting him on par with it, when he isnt off-guard. Pochita traveled from Hell to the human realm door in the space of a short conversation, wich in recent chapters is shown that each door holds its own realms/space, with the human world door leading to a universe-sized realms. Wich means these realms can be upto human realm sized and there are innumerable doors so going trough each to reach just one door. The Darkness Devil and other Primal Devils were also able to travel from one corner of another realm to the humans in Hell in a short time, but wasnt able dodge or blitz Makima. This is confirmed by the line by Pingtsi, who has an information gathering ability that the Devils watching them are watching them from remote places in Hell. Also another interpretation of high-balls for the verses, wich also doesnt inlcude the fact the Eternity/Infinity Devil created an infinite realm with its own space-time. It embodies the concept of Eternity and Infinity, as is shown by its true form and infinite 3D being equal to 4D. And the 4th dimension is time, when Eternity is infinite time itself Primal Devils are stated as transcendant to normal Devils, by a character with an information gathering ability. Transcendance quite literally means to be of a higher spatial dimension/higher plane of existence. As normal devils already exist that can be considered 4D by their very nature and their feats that would make Primal Devils 4D-5D. Hell itself can also be scaled higher as just the human realm door contatins a universe-sized realm and there are innumerable doors and Primal devils being stated transcendant in there as a multiversal/5D structure would make them 6D.

um the nuke devil or wtv would embodiy humanity's fear of nuclear war and isnt necessarily tied to the physical attributes of numerous nukes. 4 example The Gun Devil's size and power come from fear , not its composition from millions of guns. For the falling devil feat, Disrupting gravity locally doesn't equate to overpowering Earth's entire gravitational system. the "Star Devil" being tied to celestial phenomena is head canon, and we see stars in the sky in chainsaw man for the speed calc Pochita intercepting it at close range is approaching sol not FTL and the Star Devil's size and speed remain unquantified and its headcanon that its attacks are sol. for high ball, the manga doesn't confirm that each door leads to a universe-sized realm transcendent nature of Primal Devils is thematic and not taken literally of indicative of higher-dimensional existence as no chainsaw man character takes characteristics of higher dimensionality (invulnerability, invisibility, teleportation, etc) The Eternity Devil traps characters in a looping space-time construct it doesn't necessarily mean it exists as a 4D being in a higher spatial dimension. Its abilities are manipulating a Pocket Reality if it manipulated the real world and not the pocket realm maybe its 4d but thats generous. for gun devil speed combat speed doesn't exuate travel speed or vice versa.

And we know spiritual things exist in CSM, as the Ghost Devil is stated as intangible by Makima herself when explaining that Angels Weapons can damage such things.

Makima can win against Gojo without use any physical attacks or ability. She only need to order Gojo to obey her. Her control works on beings that SHE believes are inferior to her. Humans falls under that category. In the beginning of JJK Nature Curse used flowers to put Gojo’s mind in delusion and it’s worked for couple of seconds. I don’t see how Makima’s control ability can be countered with RCT if Gojo would be in her full control immediately.

The only reason gojo almost gased was because he killed over 1000 curses in like 1 mins while trying not to kill any of the humans with his curse technique. No one in chainsaw man can make him tired, makima would have to summon every devil she has and try to kill people innocent people at the same time to make gojo catch his breath. And even still gojo might say F it and let some die to kill makima's devils. Now it's one on one again. Makima can't hurt gojo so why would she think of him as inferior. When he can murder anything she brings out, but chainsaw man cause he would just come back from hell.

People regularly underestimate the power-scaling in Chainsaw-Man's universe I think because power isn't conveyed as traditionally, with linear named attacks and destruction feats, and there's no better example of how people misunderstand CSM devil powers than Makima's protection contract with the prime minister, most people treat it like it's some generic regeneration/healing factor boosted to some absurd degree and simply calculate it from there, but that's not how it functions at all, Makima doesn't "heal" the damage because reality is being actively rewritten by the contract in real time so the damage was never there to "heal" to begin with, that damage was taken and then applied to a random unfortunate japanese citizen. With this in mind, Makima wasn't even lying when she blankly stated "It's not my blood, I wasn't shot." after the train incident, and once moreover one fact that literally NOBODY brings up, is that Makima's contract only goes into effect after an interval of twelve seconds, you can reference Kishibe's surprise attack on her towards the end of part 1 for that, which means if all damage that's applied to her only gets transferred to a single japanese citizen every twelve seconds, there would be no reality in which Japan was inadvertently rendered extinct through Makima's contract alone as thousands of new Japanese children are born in that time frame. So yeah, that good ole hollow purple DB Gojo hit her with is definitely gonna suck for the poor bastard that it's going to be flicked off on, but that's not going to be nowhere near enough to put Makima down for good, she doesn't need any cells or bodyparts to regenerate from when reality itself is being rewritten to say she was never hit by it at all, and while I appreciate the attempt to pull from an in show reference (in this case equatting cosmo's halloween to Gojo's infinite void) seriously keep that trend up even if you don't always land... But maybe make sure the person you're comparing feats too isn't someone Makima casually walks up to and decapitates with no fear or regard for herself in the slightest... My suggested alternative? Sealing techniques, preferably of the sort that would place her in a state of complete solitary confinement cut off from anything that she could influence or that would try to kill her, Kishibe was on the right track trying to use the hell devil to send her back home, but even assuming she couldn't get back that would have led to a lot of unintended death as Japanese citizens were randomly torn apart and who knows what else in Makima's place as the devils she'd angered (primal fears included) came to collect their due. Again though that's just under the assumption Makima DOESN'T have some transportation devil she could loophole herself out of there with.

Hakari never dodges Kashimo's lightning, he always got hit and only showed to move after that. For that reason, he doesn't scale to the lightning timeframe. And he doesn't have to be moving in the same timeframe to avoid his head being blown off because the bolt can just hit his arm like we see instead.

He couldn't dodge the lightning because the lightning acted like a sure hit, he scales to hit because he could react to it and move his body to prevent himself from being killed, that why he didn't get hit in the head he moved his head out of the way. The second time he got hit in the head but reacted fast enough to counteract the flow of electricity. Hakari should also be relative to maki who could react and block nues lightning and who's equal to toji who can see electricity or lightning from a weaker nue in slow motion.

Even if you say it's not Canon then it doesn't really matter as maki in the manga reacted to and blocked nues lighting.

Sukuna isn't stronger than Gojo. We blatantly saw that Gojo was on the verge of killing Meguna, who very OBVIOUSLY has a greater power set than Heian Era Sukuna. And that Gojo excels in H2H combat, with the only one at his skill being Kenjaku as stated by Gege. Sukuna only killed Gojo by literally using a Technique adapted PERFECTLY to killing him and making a binding vow to counter his Six Eyes to ensure he couldn't see it lol. The two things that mattered only mattered in the latter end of the second half of the fight. Mahoraga is clearly weaker than Gojo and Sukuna as he gets his ass pushed down to the floor and blitzed with Agito being so weak, Gojo no sells her punch to the back of his head. Heian era Sukuna would fair much better than Meguna for have more arma to fight with that scale to himself who is above both Maho and Agito, along with the ability to amp himself through hand signs and chants. He would also use the fire arrow since he isn't trying to adapt since he doesn't have Mahoraga, his arrow is way way stronger than his slashes for one shotting Maho while his slashes couldn't. Gojo needed maximum healing to keep up with his domain, so addin' in an arrow that he can use whenever in a 1v1 that is even more potent results in Gojo's healing simply being overwhelmed and him dying.

I believe Makima wins. With prep time I think she would win easily, I mean, she can definitely find a devil that counters infinity or maybe use an ability she controls remotely, like what she did to crush the yakuza in the katana man arc, and she ONLY has to do that if bang doesn't already go through it. Not to mention, if she just happened to meet Gojo randomly she SHOULD be able to control him. In a purely physical fight, Gojo does win, but they scale similarly in speed and strength. Against the domain expansion, remember how Sukuna passed the damage from infinite void to Megumi's soul? Knowing Makima, she can do something similar and push the information in a way that limits the citizens affected. Hollow purple? It clearly doesn't erase atoms, but even if it does, the damage would be translated to japanese citizens. If you want to go down the "Oh bUt MAkIMa cAn't rEgEnerAte if thEre is nOne of her left" route, contracts tend to be loose in definition of how, but strict of what they do. If Makima takes damage in this fight, the damage will go to a Japanese citizen and Makima's body will be restored to hiw it was before the damage was taken. And don't argue that 1 purple can kill many citizens or even the whole population, because it dissipates after hitting its target. It would hit Makima, dissipate and then Makima's health would be restored.
