If you haven't started the second flak gun, I'd suggest the AFV Club searchlight (AF35125) instead of a gun.

Thank you Andy! You inspired me to build models again after 20 years. But this time its so much more fun! Ive learned more in 3 months,befor I did in 3 years. Andy you should start a tv show where you renovate scale model store and spruce em up. Kinda like those bar rescue shows. We will call it 'Andy's the model shop savior', my model shop next to me is out of whack got models everywhere even on the floor

A great idea for you flat car. I thought I'd mention that German trains had a flat car full of sand bags as the first car ahead of the engine. It's purpose was to set off any mines the partisans had set for the trains. often the next car, the short sided car like the one you have would have troops to chase the partisans. It's floor and sides would be covered with sandbags and often had MG34 on AA mounts at both ends. other MGs were laying on the sides on the sandbag walls. Usually as high as the cards sides. They would have similar cars at the rear of the trains too. I'm happy to see this video. I've known about this method for decades but this is the first time I've seen it done and that's a big help.

I bought the Trumpeter German Railway Gondola (lower sides) kit for a railway diorama I am starting on. Mine is a small whistle stop train station in the middle of German occupied territory that has been "Appropriated" for their usage in the middle of 1943 time frame. I finally have all my kits, so I can start laying things out. Thanks for the video.

Decades ago, Military Modeler Magazine suggested wrapping chiklets in kleenex to simulate canvas. Then paint and glue into place!

its going to look awesome. I didnt notice there were so many ww2 train models out there. I do know Trumpeter makes one with Pz IV turrets. I might make a Soviet train, Trumpeter has at least 2 wagons for that.

Tamiya have pre made sandbags why not use them?

they are very old and don't look that great and they don't have the right shape for our flatbed car
