Technically he is an engineer because of what he does, but he just doesnt have a degree in engineering. He'd qualify for most mechanical engineering positions especially, but due to not having a degree he would probably get overlooked. (Assuming we forget his KZbin exists, since it is clear evidence of his skill and capabilities as an engineer)

+Alex Mas Yeah, sounds like boiling turkey from the inside out to me... I dunno, but if Colin thinks turkey is dry he sure as hell has been cooking it wrong! At the very least I thought he'd pump some sort of marinade through the bird... not just water. If, instead of a massive flow of water and spinning the bird like crazy , he used a gravity fed drip system with a watered down and heated marinade going into the copper pipe then slowly turn the bird over an open flame he'd probably have a nice juicy turkey that looks awesome... rather than a straight up boiled bird!

+Alex Mas Try a pulse jet to crisp up the skin!
@Dragongaga
@Dragongaga 8 жыл бұрын
+MISTERComaToes But that's the point of a furze machine, to go FAST. Instead of the electric engine, he should use a pulse jet and a heat exchanger to roast the turkey from the outside, while it's being cooked from the inside (a heat exchanger and not the direct heat from the jet engine, so he doesn't get any nasty fuel taste in the bird)

This is actually a brilliant idea, regardless of some iffy choices in materials. All it needs is a broiler element in the lid to finish off the bird. The thing he doesn't mention is just how much this method would speed up the cooking. Forcing hot broth through the flesh, while heating from the outside at the same time would cut cooking time by half, if not 2/3. Which isn't much of a big deal for home cooking, but for a professional kitchen, its a game changer.

love your channel Colin but if you want to keep your turkey from drying out then you gotta deep fry it. 1. buy a turkey frier. (amazon, eBay) 2. let turkey get to room temperature (DO NOT FRY WHILE FROZEN). 3. rub turkey down with seasonings of your choice. 4. heat canola oil to temp specified. 5. dunk turkey in hot oil and let fry until internal temp specified is reached. 6. enjoy best turkey you've ever eaten. It takes minutes instead of hours and is so tender and juicy.

+Tactical Ultimatum Centrifugal forces would theoretically cook the turkey much faster, that is if the water temperatures were consistent

Don't you mean centripetal not centrifugal?
@iaincampbell5453
@iaincampbell5453 7 жыл бұрын
Nope, he means centrifugal. Centripetal force is what makes the turkey spin, centrifugal force is what makes the water pass through the turkey. Centrifugal force is the imaginary force that centripetal force overcomes to create angular motion
