Oh wow , this is a great tutorial , good explained and to the point. Thanks for watching! For keeping it simple and translatable to any sampler/sequencer. I like to start in that end regardless, warping is a later step for me. I'd sequence the chops how I want them and resample them then use warp for example. Also the real time warp sounds like sh* on the MPC

Same reason I put myself through doing it on the Amiga sometimes too lol, but if you wanna try it out a good starting point is Renoise for the computer to understand how it works.

So now that my MPC One had arrived I spent most of the weekend programming breaks. I am wondering though, once I have drums on track 1 when I create track 2, to put bass on for example, should that be a keygroup? When I import a bass sound like this I can't see it listed or hear it when I hit pads. Not sure what I'm missing here. Thanks.

If you're importing a bass sample I'd definitely use a keygroup, to assign the sample after loading it you need to go into Program Edit/Samples and select your sample from there.

Not sure what you mean, it depends what you wanna do. If you have a loop set up right and enable warping it will warp it, but it won't warp something if you don't tell it to.

ITS SO FUCKING SAD that the Timestretch does not sound good in the MPC One. Akai had the most revered timestretch algorith EVER in the old machines. If they pached this thing with the timestretch and regular pitch transposition of the S950 (wich sounded PHAT, I mean PHAAAT) I would have allready buyed this beauty. I HOPE THEY FIX IT!!! What we have to do to make Akai hear us about this??
