Making a Knife From An Old Wrench

Handmade knife from old wrench, with G10 handle. There I try to show all steps of this knife making.
00:00 - observing the old wrench

00:22 - cutting the wrench with angle grinder
01:08 - flat grinding the wrench
02:02 - markup the knife shape
02:40 - shaping it with angle grinder and belt grinder
04:25 - making perpendicular edges with engraver

06:04 - threading holes for the screws
06:18 - hardening and tempering the knife

The only you need is a good grinder a cutting disc. A sanding wells a vise and good imagination and common sense I have a lot of knife s slinshoots made with only those tools.

I like how this fella makes due amd built a bevel jig and a lot of things he needed to make it easier . I also liked the use of the Drexel tool. I need a belt sander before I try this . Have the drill press and everything else except a crucible but doesn’t look like it’s needed here . I m sure I can make one . I just like watching the process and see it takes many days to achieve an end result . Hats off .

I've been at making knives for a couple years now, far from a pro but I can have one done with a sheath in about 8 to 9 hours. You dont need any special tools really. You can get by with a belt sander from harbor freight, grinder and cut off wheel, drill press, die grinder and a knife sharpening set.
