Making a little under stair door & an explanation of where I've been

Hi, sorry I've been poorly, end of 2022 I got Pneumonia & Sepsis, 5 wks in hospital over Xmas. Sepsis left me withered & feeling a bit old n weak, most of last yr I was just trying to get back to doing everyday things like walking upstairs. I'm not 100% better but I feel a lot better than I did last yr.

This is the first job I've done since the end of 2022, it's only a little door to stop the dog from eating the tasty treats the cats leave in the litter box, I'm not 100% better but I am getting there slowly. This yr I plan to just take on small jobs to get me back up n running & I'll try to get all the 100s of bits of footage I shot in 2022 inc finishing off the Oak tread staircase edited & uploaded.

It's great to see you back mate. I know illness can fuck things up, I got my workshop in May 2020, October 2020 I got diagnosed with cancer so had to have 2 operations and roughly 3 months off then light duties for 6 weeks but October 2024 I'll be 4 years in remission with 1 year left then I'm clear. What I'm saying is take it easy mate don't try and be Superman like we do when we're self-employed your health comes 1st. 👍

❤️ so sorry to hear you’ve been really poorly. Missed you. From someone who was very poorly a few years ago it took me a long time to recover, more than 12 months, my stamina took longer and my work was not physical. Listen to your body and appreciate things will have change - put yourself and family first. Having said that it’ was okay for me who was salaried at the time (retired now) being self employed adds to the pressure. Take care kindest regards Mike.

Thanks much appreciated 👍 Crocks & a thong next 😂💪👍 I came out of hospital 12st, 3st less than I went in, within a very short time after getting home from hospital I ballooned up to 17st, maxed out at 19st all within a few mths, not fat it was some kind of water retention, the shorts helped my fat legs bend, I'm down to 15st now which is similar to before being poorly but that's still a bit overweight so when the weather's hot like it was on this day I still need them, Quite like shorts tho 🕺
