Do you have a parts list for the Ventilation system? Do you have measurements for your cabinet as well?
@SplishSplashFishing2 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I don't have a parts list, as I thought it would be hard to find items that were available all over the world. Also the cabinet would have to fit you workspace rather than what fits mine.

Love the build and you lures as a retired autobody painter and lure painter I would suggest a air inlet on the left side with the same filter more for when your curing epoxy so as not to have dust particles pull though the plexiglass hope this helps .
@SplishSplashFishing6 жыл бұрын
A very good point - You are of cause right that dust would be sucked in through every crack and onto the nearest lure. A filtered inlet would be much better - Thanks
@brianclark21196 жыл бұрын
Jamie that's a very good point! As an auto paint and equipment salesman I have seen many paint jobs suffer dust issues in paint booths that were turned into huge vacuum cleaner bags when intake and exhaust air volumes were not filtered or balanced, clogged intake filters or exhaust filters will upset this balance. I might even suggest additional filtered air area to keep the booth from sucking dust in around any openings. Also any solvents not successfully vented can settle back on the fresh paint and diminish the gloss. Too much air flow can cause paint surfaces to surface dry to quickly and trap solvents between the paint and surface weakening bonds and that is why a balanced airflow should be the goal. This project shows great planning and design I wish him the success he seeks.

I know I'm over a year late to the party, but I just wanted to share that the word for the fasteners that you didn't know the English name for: staples. Pronounced - Stay-pulls. Nice build. I think this is just what I need to build for the size of my projects!

Thanks - I'll try to remember for the next time

Good morning, great video! Is it possible to pass the measurements of your painting cabinet?
@SplishSplashFishing6 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply - Thought that I still had the original drawing somewhere, but it is gone. My cabinet is 100 cm wide, 95 cm high and 60 cm deep

looks very nice. what performance is your ventilator?
@SplishSplashFishing6 жыл бұрын
thanks. It moves 388 m3/h which is plenty for my use. I rarely run it over 50%
@sub-arts1286 жыл бұрын
@@SplishSplashFishing thanks for answer. i think of a 185 m3/h ventilator. but i dont know, if its ok for my needs. i will need it mainly when plane candy spraying with airbrush (0.4 nozzle), maybe minijet. what gun do you use?
@SplishSplashFishing6 жыл бұрын
I usually have half of the opening closed with a glass plate - this will increase suction from the area you sit
@johnfulwider75105 жыл бұрын
What type of ventilation system are you using? I’m assuming that you have it in another room.
@SplishSplashFishing5 жыл бұрын
Im not sure I know the correct engllish work, but it's what they call a Channel Fan, and you are right, it is in the next room. On my booth, I have a regulator that can turn on/off and adjust the speed. Works very well.
@gerardfaulk8086 жыл бұрын
I hate to say this, but you would have better ventilation if you made your suction system twice maybe three times larger. I did that to mine, by using a suction motor with a 20x16 filter. It works great for a 4 foot by 3 foot spray booth.
@SplishSplashFishing6 жыл бұрын
For sure it would move more air. But I must say that with this, it actually seems to work quite fine. Just keeping the open area you sit in, reduced to about half - Which is fine for airbrushing

Cool project. I'm making something simillar 2,5 years :D I mean, I bought aluminium vent pipe, fan and other stuff but never got a chance to do it :(

Well I just wanted to make "good solutions" for the new shed, so this seemed like a good idea, and now that it's finished, I'm so happy about it. You should really take your time to "finish" it

That looks good Hope you're not sucking paint fumes through an ordinary fan though
@SplishSplashFishing6 жыл бұрын
They are - But I'm only using waterbased paint in the booth to be sure that electrical sparks and flameable vapour is not combined - If that was what you were thinking of
