@CMGLinks5 жыл бұрын
It depends on the size of the chain, and the color of gold used for the chain, a yellow gold chain between 6mm and 15mm can take 1 to 2 days to complete. Filing doesn’t affect the mm of the chain

I tried to make a Cuban chain last year in the fall at school out of copper wire, I ultimately gave up though. I was going to solder the rings together but couldn’t get it hot enough with a normal burner, and the only other thing to use was a forge, which was too hot so the rings just melted. Maybe I’ll try to finish it some day but I don’t think that’s gonna happen.
@CMGLinks5 жыл бұрын
Never give up. I think copper would be super hard to solder since it takes so much heat just to get it red hot and it cools down quickly. Maybe try it to make it in silver.
@johnnyfettslem74395 жыл бұрын
CMG Links yeah that was the problem that made it so hard, the main thing for me was to try and get the copper look but maybe you could electroplate some copper onto a chain made of something else or something.
