Pretty neat I never knew this was the process for making chains before I watch another video before this. I find the craftsmen ship very interesting plus it looks to be satisfying work. Not sure if this question was asked yet, but what is the substance that is put on the chain when it is laid flat just before filing it down? Is it some sort of wax or adhesive to make it stay flat and straight so it can be filed down easier? Really cool video!

I need a watch crystal replaced. slid off the counter on the last cruise. very sentimental. My parents could never afford Disney, But We were able to take ours. I'm not big into souvenirs, But I picked up the Mickey Mouse Automatic. 2 years later, (right before Covid) First time wearing, checking out the shops on the boat, Plastic still on the face, looking at/trying on watches, and down it went, shattered. Glass stayed shattered stuck to the plastic, and it sits in my watch box, waiting till I can see how much it would be to fix one day. Thought I would give you an extra story with your question for fun. But it did happen. Same lil boat in Jan covid pending. (Their 2nd largest Ship, there was too much to do.)
