how do you set up the initial nodes at the start at 0:19 (right hand side)? i'm a beginner and not so sure how to do this :/

Hey. Just spawn a "Base Material" node, enable "Normal", "Ambient Occlusion" and "Height" within the nodes properties, spawn a "Normal" node, connect it's output to the "Material Base" normal input, then spawn an "Ambient Occlusion" node, connect it's output to the "Material Base" AO input, after that, spawn a "Invert Grayscale" node and set Invert to false in it's properties, now connect the "Invert Grayscale" output to the Inputs on the "Normal" and "Ambient Occlusion". After that, connect the "Invert Grayscale" Output to the "Material Base" Height input. The Invert Grayscale node is not really necessary, I am just using it, to have only one Input for my different channels at the beginning. Don't forgot to set the Invert to false on that node, otherwise your height informations will be inverted. Hope that helps!

Hey Hamid, thank you very much! My timelapsed videos are with 400% speed on purpose, so if you set the video playback speed to 0.25% on youtube, you can watch it in realtime. But you are right and I am planning to do more videos where I explain stuff. I currently have one where I am explaining at least a bit, it's the Ice Floe material tutorial, it's rather a beginner tutorial though.
