Making Blobs: My technique vs the super secret Blob Opera hack

I started making a video showing how I used DaVinci Resolve to create my Blob Opera Techno track, but then I found out about the super hacker technique to make Blob Opera sing whatever you want.
It turns out that because Blob Opera stores the recorded data in a big Javascript data object, you can use different tools to convert MIDI or Scoring data into the proper JSON payload, and inject that into the blobs to make them sing whatever you want!

I love this. I had been trying to do some of my mixing and arranging in resolve, but gave up and used reaper. Will need to revisit the sample based editing in resolve. My younger is inspired by this too and I will probably be hearing more blobs...

How did you get your original blob opera saved into a program where you could edit it?

Screen capture. You do need a trick on a Mac to make the screen capture also grab the audio, but that’s it. ( same way I made much of this video )

I use the native QuickTime recorder, with a pass thru audio device from Loopback to make the output of the browser looks link an input to the recorder
