I love your color choices (always) and how your batter stays so fluid for so long. Also, you must be the sweetest soap maker on KZbin. Every time I watch one of your videos I just want to hug you.

Dang it! I shouldn't have put those two Tutti Frutti bars I bought into a box of stuff I wanted to share with family. I should have kept one! I had an operation two weeks ago and being in the hospital for ten days all I wanted to do is go home and bathe in it! I ended up using the Crystal Heart and now won't let anyone know where it is hiding! Love it!!!

When I got this soap I was so excited! I went right over to my mothers house and let her have a wiff of that oh so sweet and fruity scent. When I first smelled it I thought of Juicy Fruit Gum which is my favorite, even though I can chew it because of medical reasons, I still hold it as a favorite. NOW I have a favorite scent and I know I won't regret buying more than one of those darling bars. Thank you for your wonderful presentation of your products Iona, that puts a big gold star next to your name in my book!

Your soaps are so beautiful. Do you use mostly liquid oils? My batter starts to thicken pretty quickly but I would love to have more time for design. Thank you for sharing!
@EvesGardenSoaps5 жыл бұрын
Hi Becky ~ Thank you for watching my video and your lovely compliment. To answer your question, I use a 50/50 ratio for hard and liquid oils in this recipe. I soap at a cool temperature and used fragrance oils that loosen trace which helps. Also, I only emulsify the oils and lye solution before dividing for colors. For future reference, certain oils like lard and olive oil take a long time coming to trace and give plenty of time for design work. I hope this helps and happy soaping! :) ione
@Hilary_ClarbySoaps5 жыл бұрын
Absolutely gorgeous swirls and colours. Beautiful. If it’s not too cheeky can I ask what % of hard oils you use? Does this make a difference to keeping your batter so fluid? I’ve been making a few recipes and mixing to emulsion, but by the time I mix in colours and fragrance it starts to thicken already, so I wondered whether a lower % of hard oils would help? Any advice appreciated. I just love your designs, so pretty 💕
@EvesGardenSoaps5 жыл бұрын
Hi HIlary ~ Thank you for watching my video and your lovely compliments. I appreciate it very much. To answer your question, I use a 50/50 ratio of hard and liquid oils in this recipe. The saving thing is the fragrance and essential oils I used decelerate trace. For keeping a liquid batter when using fragrances that accelerate trace, I use lard and a high percent of olive oil in the recipe. Those 2 ingredients take a long time coming to trace. I hope this helps and happy soaping! :) ione
@Hilary_ClarbySoaps5 жыл бұрын
EvesGardenSoaps thanks Ione, this is very helpful...I love using lard in soap. I’m still to experience a fragrance which decelerates...most I’ve used speed things up!! It’s all a learning process which I’m thoroughly enjoying. And I just love your videos 💕. Thank you 🙏

What did you mix your colors with in those little cups before you poured it in to the liquid soap? Water?

Hi Avner 888 ~ Thank you for watching my video. To answer your question, I mixed up the colors with part of the olive oil from the recipe before adding them to the soap. I hope this helps and happy soaping! :) ione

Hi may I have questions please? When can add cornstarch in and how? Thank you
@EvesGardenSoaps5 жыл бұрын
Hi Sirilak ~ Thank you for watching my video. To answer your question, I mix the cornstarch and essential oil together ahead of time so the cornstarch "grabs" the scent. I stir it frequently so it's ready to add at the proper time when making the soap. Happy soaping! :) ione
