Each time in the end of one of your videos I find myself sitting for a very long time thinking of best words of gratitude that could describe how they make me feel....all I find is to say: I hope you know how much you give and how happy you make some of us!

Same here on west Monroe Louisiana I am just finishing up little fig hair. I am crocheting a cap to attaché the hair to. I will be attaching alpaca hair that is dark brown to match my great granddaughter s hair.

I bought the little fig pattern from her Etsy shop And thru my own fault I could not get it to down load, I was not signed in when I ordered, anyway she fixed it. And personally emailed it to me. I love it is so good. The instructions are easy to follow and understand how to do this doll a little treasure. I have read it thru about 3 times as I am making a doll from a pattern/ kit I bought from amazon. It was not as clear how to follow. I have finished that doll waiting on hair. Anyway. Just to say again she is great love it.

Lord in Heaven !!!! I feel like I found a GOLD MINE today !!! Did not know you were on youtube. I just watched your video "Dolls Of 2021" Brilliant !!! I am just a beginning felter, but am amazed how it all seems oddly familiar and natural to me. My first piece was a rabbit, which was suppose to take 3 hours. but took me 7. !!!! I worked till 4 in the morning. But it was worth it. Like you, I am also a Naturalist, and teach fishing, foraging and earth appreciation. I find you as a kindred soul !! I already have specific questions about parts of your doll felting process. Is there anywhere I can post my questions to you ??? I already have my doll series drawn and have been looking for years for the right way to put them in FORM. I finally found it and plan to put you and your gracious gifts in my Gratitude Journal TODAY. Hope to write again. The End for NOW.

I have a lot of soft alpaca fiber yarn. I will try dyeing that into the color orangey red. I also have lots of wool as I used to needle felt. I liked making 2D paintings with wool fiber mostly however I did make an armature and it became a bearded man in a red sweater and blue jeans. I also made a 12 inch doll made in the likeness of a boy my granddaughter was best friends with in 3rd grade. He was killed in a car accident with his mom as the driver of the car that was hit by a drunk driver. It was a beautiful blond haired doll made of good cotton knit interlock fabric. I then Got into another hobby and gave my granddaughter all my supplies. Long story short it was not taken care of so all was lost and im out the supplies. Do you know where i could purchase some decent cotton interlock fabric in a caucasian skin tone? Im 74. I have been longing to get back into doll making once more before im gone. Im so so sorry this is so very long. Thank you for your contribution to the doll art world. You are magnificently talented. A gift. I appreciate being able to learn from you. More than appreciate really. Blessings from whomever you believe in.

I'm very curious about making knotted yarn doll hair. That style of hair seems to consist of knotting yarn into a thick almost curly cap for the doll. I've seen it a few times on dolls for small children but have never come across a tutorial for it. It doesn't look like it's very common. Have you heard of it and do you know how to do it?
@Figandme3 жыл бұрын
It’s exactly the same technique as I shared with Gretel strands. Except the yarn is different, not mohair straight but boucle. I think this is what you are talking about.
@Figandme3 жыл бұрын
Or… when you use yarn strands, knot them, and sew them down all over the head, to make it look as if curly short hair. I taught a workshop on that last year but it’s not my favourite hairstyle nor one I do very often because I prefer mohair yarn for my baby dolls 🥰
@rebeccaclark26143 жыл бұрын

Obrigada por amar minhas bonecas. Estou na mesma situação que a única coisa produzida aqui no Canadá é a lã. Eu compro tudo o que preciso para minhas bonecas online e na maioria das vezes vem do exterior.

I whant use in reborn Doll. I cant?
@Figandme2 жыл бұрын
Well, reborn dolls are made of vinyl, these dolls are made of fabric so you can sew the weft to the head. You can if you want to, but you will have to use glue and I have no experience there to help you.

The hair is awesome but background music is so unnecessary and interfers with listening to you!
@Figandme Жыл бұрын
Sorry about that. A lot of people do love the music I choose and is also a very important part of creating my videos. The music inspires me as I edit and sets me in the mood for creating the video, it's as much part of the creative process as what I have to say or the clips and photos I choose. So I guess for me even though I now know some people really dislike it, it's a sacrifice I am willing to make because it's very important to my creative process.
