I have done two inspections now, at 2 weeks and 4 weeks, and I am very impressed with how the bees has responded to them so far.

Once again you got me to thinking. You gave the dimensions of 12”x12”. And I thought to myself “ that’s small”. So I measured a langstroth frame. It’s 1.1 sq.ft and yours is 1sq.ft. And on top of that, a different way to look at bee space. Thanks for sharing

The square frame uses less materials in the hive construction, too, due to the more efficient shape for the same comb surface area.

So far, I believe the bees are finding this to be a more efficient shape as well. I like the pattern they are using to deposit brood and resources on the comb.
