bonjour Ariane! Tu es vraiment une inspiration. J'ai adoré la partie sur la remplisseuse manuelle. (Beaucoup l'auraient caché.) This is for people who dont know how to do percentages. She said she made enough for 12 8oz bottles. 8 times 12 is 96 oz. How much water she uses- she said 70 percent or 69.39 (69.39 ÷ 100 =0.6939)percent to be exact(0.6939×96=66.6144 or 66.6). so .70 multiply by 96 is 67.2 oz of water. Don't believe take 67.2 and divide by 96 and you will get .70. You do that with everything else. Watch Soaping101 chanel. She has a video for people who dont know how to figure out percentages. She helped me because I dont know math well

Thanks a million ... Now if only you would do the whole list like this for me bc I just tried and by my calculations ...umm... There's one cup of everything 😩
@Younique20118 жыл бұрын
+Skinny Girls Cook Noooooooo u have to weigh it on a scale never use a cup or measuring cups. Now if it says 1 tea spoon then you can use it.
@Younique20118 жыл бұрын
67.2 oz distilled water. 9.6 oz of sea water. 3.84 oz glycein. 4.8oz of carrier oil (jojoba, argan ect). 2.88oz of DL-Panthenol. 7.2 oz Incroquat Behenyl TMS-50. Pinch of silk or 1.2 grams for a 92oz recipe. Use how much essential or fragrance oil you want. She said 1 percent which is .96 oz. Since she had a blend of four essential oils, I took .96 and added 4 and got 4.96 which maybe too much. so you can take .96 and multiply 4 to get 3.84oz
@Younique20118 жыл бұрын
Skinny Girls Cook Remember to heat both water and oils at the same temperature (160F) before emulsifying them together. Once it cools then add the scent but make sure you read about the flash points on the fragrance oils. Good luck. If you want to make a smaller batch you would take the entire oz u want to make and divide by those percentages. For example, lets say you want to make 32oz or 2 pounds of lotion. .70 x 32=22.4 oz of water. .1 x 32=3.2 oz of sea water and so forth

Very interesting - -I let my hair grow after starting to use the small batch shampoo bars. The ladies who trim my hair are surprised because usually at my age 61 many women suffer thin, breaking hair so cut it short. Well I need to add this conditioner so that as my hair gets longer the ends do not thin by breakage. I feel we have gotten so used to bad shampoo/conditioner that are commercial so keep cutting hair short. Long hair when in good condition is very enjoyable and makes me feel lovely - -in spite of wrinkles - -hah. Thank you for all your video's Ariane! Where did you find the filling machine ? yes, it looks like a long(er) job to clean. I'm surprised you do not use funnels to fill your bottles - -

it could be bc shes adding an alcohol and a wax that isnt exactly natural. I wouldnt give her a thumbs down bc i like her too much but i wont make this recipe the same way bc of that. or maybe it is rival soapers dun dun DUN.
@NadaSoaper7 жыл бұрын
I should rephrase this is what that wax is INCI Name: Behentrimonium Methosulfate (and) Cetyl Alcohol (and) Butylene Glycol. Me personally I have to make all of our hygiene products from scratch and they CANNOT have alcohols. Technically the source is from plants but can also be derived chemically and a lot of people want recipes that dont contain these. One of my kids is allergic to products containing alcohols derived from corn and my fiance cannot have alcohols either so i could see that as being the thumbs down as i already mentioned

Thank you for an excellent video. I have heard that salt is used to thicken a lotion. If someone wants to try your recipe but does not have access to distilled seawater, have you ever tried substituting adding salt to distilled water for that 10% filtered sea water. It wouldn't be the same exactly, but would it be reasonable or a good substitute?

Thank you, very helpful. I want to try this someday. One point, when you use alcohol or a chemical or something to clean it is "disinfecting it". The only way to sterilize is to bring up to over the boiling point by boiling in water or to use an autoclave sterilization machine, which that plastic cannot do anyway. Just to clarify.

Hello Ariane! I know this video is from 2014 but I'm crossing my fingers and hoping you will reply 😊 I have the same machine filler as you! The thing is I am having trouble finding information on how to separate the 5 gallon tank from the machine I have even contacted the seller for information on how to clean it and how/with what should I separate these to parts but sense February I haven't gotten a response from them. So I haven't used the filler yet and it has just been sitting for about 5 months now because for sanitary reasons I prefer to use it when I find out how to properly take care of it by cleaning it. Would soooo much appreciate if you would in lightening me or maybe show a video on how you take apart these 2 pises or how and with what you do this process?! Also would be amazing to know how has it been holding up sense then till now?! Thank you in advance! And I love to see how excited you get when doing these things!! It reminds me of the joy I feel when doing them as well!! A warm hug from the island of Puerto Rico!!! 🌴🍍❤

Hi, just saw your video. Just wondering about the silk protein. You use 1-2 grams for a 97 oz batch of conditioner? The reason why I’m asking is bc I’ve seen videos where they use that much protein in only a 12oz batch. Is that too much silk protein, or is that just your preference?
