That’s so funny!!! Elfie doesn’t like the chop, but you don’t eat it, either!!!🤣🤣🤣 Funny, funny! My first bird was a Senegal, Spencer, then about 8 years later I got my sweet Dusky Conure, Jasper, who lived to be 24 (lived her so much), and last year, 2021, I adopted a senior bird, 17 y/o lesser Jardine Parrot, Emy. He is a very picky eater like Elfi! Giving this chop idea a try!

I've read that you shouldn't feed tomatoes due to their high acidity. Great video! I've learned a lot from your channel 🦜

Do you cook it or just feed it raw?

Very good video 🐤 very informative! Question, when you made the lentils and garbanzo beans do you just boil it with plain water??
@parrotsco.32244 жыл бұрын
Correct! Just boil in water. The garbanzo beans I soaked in water overnight though. The lentils cook faster in one sitting 🙌🏽

theBirdBae Thank you! My RingNeck hasn’t eaten lentils or garbanzo beans yet but he for sure will after this video. Today he had pellets and on the side he had fresh cucumber. Later he gets fresh vegetables but I’ll for sure try your recipe ☺️☺️

I’m looking to get a bird as well I was curious am I supposed to feed twice a day or once
@parrotsco.32243 жыл бұрын
For adult birds, twice a day works great. Important to track weight so you know how much to feed, assuming you want to train your parrot etc 🤙🏽 🦜

Im confused about how much healthy fats and complex carbs to add. In your guide it says you should pick 3 types of fats and 2 carbs but not how much you need to add. I just don't want to overdue it.

Thanks a ton man for this Video. To the point and interesting. I have a pair of green cheek conures that I'm starting to ween of baby food so this helps a lot. Also is it safe to feed your bird food that's been frozen for 2-3 months?
@parrotsco.32244 жыл бұрын
No problem! Yes as long as you remove most of the air out of the feeezer bags to prevent crystals forming in the food. You would thaw once and use portions as needed.
