Seriously. Glinthorn and game. Exact reason I built two versions of Malcolm, Temur for multiple creature tutors and Grixis for fast mana and ad naus and thoracle.

A v interesting deck would be with vial smasher, a deck that runs curiosity for value but then pivots to winning instantly with glint horn, so like 4c curiosity but with a better combo game. It then can win more consistently with Malcolm (plus it can play thoracle combo as always lol)

In case this hasn't been pointed out already, you can't give a creature with a sword of fire and ice doublestrike and lifelink with bruse, because it has protection from red.

Hey guys best cedh content as always! In Jeskai there is the option of using Kiki + Felidar guardian as a combo 1. Imperial Recruiter find Felidar 2. Cast Felidar blinking recruiter find Kiki 3. Cast Kiki Total mana = 12 If there dockside would make more than 6 treasures this can be done for less mana by finding a dockside first then casting Sakashima to copy the recruiter.

Check out the Animar primer. It's kind of a big brain deck, but we've been using Imp.Recruiter as a one card combo for a while.. Animar is an insane fast mana source..

That's what I was thinking, I play a Recruiter -> Phyrexian Metamorph copying Recruiter -> Kiri Onna bounce Metamorph loop that can make infinite "Kiri Copies" of any creature I control, so I can weave in a Peregrine Drake for infinite Mana and then end the loop by copying recruiter again for walking ballista, i've also done it when i drop a Purphoros before starting the loop, it's a lot of fun.

Animar has been leveraging recruiter into phyrexian metamorph for a while . It’s generally 2 life to cast that clone and go get other pieces to loop. Cool to see other decks able to leverage it

One thing to consider with the combo line is redundancy. You have barrin as the main way to do the combo. But if he is delt with then you can have Temur Sabertooth as a backup. Effectively the same as Barrin, but 1 more mana, green, and a 4/3, which does make it much worse. I saw the Temur list and thought you could put it in there. I have it in a jund combo deck with the same start. Dockside plus Temur Sabertooth and your opponents having 5 artifacts/enchantments= infinite mana. Have korvold as the commander and draw your deck. Play mayhem devil and kill everyone as you sacrifice the treasures.

I’ve been playing Rakdos, Lord of Riots as a recruiter deck for the last few years and love it. Recruiter tutors goblin engineer, engineer grabs cloud stone and thanks to Rakdos, all your creatures cost 1 to cast. Deck leans heavy red to play under blood moon and magus of the moon. I end most games off Infinite mana with priest of Urbrask or dockside with mayhem devil or walking ballista. This isn’t a cedh deck but it’s a decently high power build.

An Idea came into mind this is quite similar to dockside plus Barin generating infinite mana. Currently Im playing Ruric thar but after hearing you guys Temur Sabertooth + Dockside using Jeska and Kodama as partner commander [of course Kiki Jiki Conscripts combo]]. Awesome‼ 🤘😎

Imperial recruiter needing your commander is a two card combo... like if there is a drannith in play and I cast recruiter, it can win without needing the second card? A one card combo would be cast recruiter, fetch kiki, cast kiki, copy recruiter, fetch an untapper, cast untapper and then make infinite untappers with kiki. Or a one card combo with spellseeker, fetch ephemerate into the final fortune combo. These require one card to start the chain. I'm Just Sayin.

Wyleth. Kiki-jiki + combat celebrant is all tutorable with recruiters and are all relevant to the deck. (Deck commander being wyleth, soul of steel).

I love to see others brew this way, reminds me that I'm not the only one that has a bunch of dumb deck ideas that pop into my head at 3 am. I ended up trying to build a Riku deck where neoform or any other creature tutor that goes to the grave a 1 card combo. But it ended up being just a high powered deck since, well Riku is damn clunky and Temur is already not the best, especially if you don't have Kraum or Thrasios in the command zone.

Altar of the Brood mills everyone out with the barrin combo and you could grab a trinket mage with the recruiters to fetch it. It can be a dead draw at certain points in the game, but I just accept that and run it in bounce combo decks because its 1 mana.

In animar u can play animar. Then imperial recruiter search metapamorph play it copy recruiter search spellseeker find neoform sack spellseeker find ancestral statue then play statue any times and then return metamorph play it and copy recruiter finding walking ballista

Specifically for the temur version of this deck couldn’t you play thrasios and jeska and move away from the double recruiter part of the deck but still have the recruiter to get the combo pieces

I've always considered Imperial Recruiter an EDH staple if you can afford it, and most people just don't want to spend that much... but of course I don't generally play cEDH, so maybe that's why.

The more storm focused Akiri build is definitely using a lot of the same stuff I'm working with in tandem with Jeska/Ishai. These colors have a lot of new life.www.moxfield.com/decks/eHEuGJ7k9kSP3DnLQKF31w My only reservation with list one is (as someone who has made mistakes on doing this) having the main win con rely solely on dockside #'s can really lead to some upsetting losses. It helps to have some agency/control over the main win con.

Why not just play ballista as a wincon? Seems better than the storm wincons, and is passable as a card on it's own

Mainly cause walking ballista can be countered and grapeshot has storm it’s a more resilient

@@PlaytoWinMTG Grapeshot is a wasted slot for a finisher, when you are already at infinite mana and bounces with barrin, dockside, and recruiter. Fetch spellseeker and go into brain freeze breach instead. If you need a secondary wincon, drop grapeshot for a better removal like swords, then drop jeweled amulet for rolling earthquake. Make lots of treasures, cast akiri, fetch spellseeker, spellseeker to fetch swords and r.earthquake, swords akiri and earthquake the board. Im not the biggest fan of preordain, I'd drop it for faithless looting since you're on jeska's will, or add in gilded drake.

Thoughts on the weird looking white mane lion here? It could be a good piece to help bounce your tutor pieces or payoff pieces (like extortionist) having flash is important because it can also act as a protection spell in a pinch.

I think the point of this deck is you don't need to waste a slot on a ballista when you can have jeska, and arguably better infinite mana outlet in the command zone.

Imperial Recruiter can grab Walking Ballista. Seems like you are overcomplicating things. Establish infinite mana and use barrin to grab Imperial Recruiter back to your hand and use it to fetch Ballista and win with infinite damage

I thought the point of bringing sakashima in the first place was to copy tymna, without tymna, bruse is not too attractive to copy, let alone akiri lol. Perhaps just bringing malcolm is better and the recruiter can find the glint afterwards.

Couldn't you build this deck without Sakashima, by just using Barrin, Master Wizard to bounce the recruiter and replay it? It will cost 1 more mana, but mana doesn't seem to be an issue with what you're trying to do.
