Another fan of making soap at home here! 👋 I wonder, can baking soda be an additive in place of the clay?

I've not heard of adding baking soda to CP soap?? So I'm not sure??

Just beautiful!! Im glad it didnt smell like bacon grease 😂. I think you can "wash" the lard to get rid of the smell if you wanted to. (Melt, add water, cook a lil, pour & the water separates taking the smell.) yes, lard & tallow are Homesteaders staples! :) btw, youre at 101k!

Awe Ellen it's gorgeous!! I had superba lavender growing for the last two years but unfortunately winter took it out... I've gotta get more cause there's nothing like the smell! Even if it smelled like bacon ya know u could turn it into cleaning soap or husband's grease soap for around the house so you'll never waste any! Another winner Ellen!

Pretty soap 😊. Yes, I am the same way when I go in a store or super market, dollar store, I'm always looking at the kitchen stuff thinking about what I can get or use lol, soap freak I am 😂😂. I'm glad Sapana vacation kills the odor because I made my own beef tallow and it came out smelling bad but not spoiled, just from grass fed beef, I even rendered it 3 times trying to get rid of it, it did help though. I love my tallow in soaps, makes them hard bars that last ❤. Thanks for the video, you always have something interesting and funny to say 😊.

Ellen I make beef and bison tallow soaps and creams and lotions and they are the winners for me. I love lard ( pig tallow) specially when you need to desacelérate butter, is that even a word? Anyhow lard is more creamy and beef and bison tallow are hard as a rock and last and last for ever. Tallow is also the most similar thing to our natural skin sebum, no claims here , just facts. Thank you so much and congratulations again. That soap belongs to a display!
