This design feels very organic (?) compared to the last one. The first one felt like a robot designed to optimally climb surfaces. This guy just looks like a little creature trying his best to get through the day. I love him. Great work as always!

@AutistiCat24062 жыл бұрын
It moves on 4 (almost) individually powered movement tools, and has a flexible spot between them, look at almost any creature The wheels function as hands and feet, in our case these allow slight adjustability for precision near the ends, as you go up there's more large position joints like the knees and elbows rather than wrists and ankles, then you reach shoulder and hip, in our case the hip even has capability to twist in order to help navigate the 3rd dimension, then the spine which is a more advanced yet slightly more limiting version of what the robot has, we need to keep our organs intact and hence can only move so much, but look at the car, it's vitals are positioned at each end, allowing it to flex freely in the middle, sacrificing the small precision at the ends Nature is both the most and least natural thing, it seems so simple but everything is truly a fine oiled machine, in such an effective way it hardly seems natural I love this stuff

It feels like two people helping each other climb. Especially on e.g. the stairs, where it looks like one part of the robot is pulling the other up.

The sheer fact that you went back and verified that a change to the design worked on previous successful obstacles cannot be understated. That's an important thing to teach kids about (and even adults!)
@xanderheslar968 Жыл бұрын
It also showed how much better the new design was, as it got past all the obstacles a lot easier
@anonymoususer1885 ай бұрын
Yes. This is important. Never assume that improvements to solve a new problem won't mess up an invention's ability to solve previous problems. Always check to make sure you didn't break anything or optimize for a complex problem so much that you lose basic functionality needed to solve simple problems. The fact that it handled the previous obstacles with ease really shows how great the new design is.
