Listening to you talking about the meaning of true friendship is THE main essence for me - my best „take home message“ for today. Main reason saying this: in the next room my dying 91 yr. old father is lying in his bed, sad without being able to say he is sad, destroyed by early childhood experiences during World War II in Berlin. He never understood what friendship could be, left alone in his twisted universe of bad thoughts and mistrust he is now finishing his life without having discovered what real contact to people could mean. At least: he reaches out for my hand - after 91 yrs. Thank you so much for showing how important joy in life really is.
