Noticed you haven't made any videos in awhile... hope you haven't stopped! You pretty much singlehandedly got me into modular. One of the very best modular channels on youtube.

"Sounds a bit like hi hat" Which leads me to believe that you have two weasels, duct taped to a mic stand in your basement next to the rest of your drmset. I'm afraid to know what your snare is :) Thanks for the video. I found an old notebook the other day, with a complex system called: Random Song Generator. It involved coins, d&d dice with certain number outcomes that shunted you off to either the I Ching, Oblique Strategies or, and don't ask me how this was supposed to wok, the Holy Bible. It's very cute, a bit naive and not truly random. I think I only ever used my system for one piece. This makes me want to revisit it.But these days I usually just apply two rules to every piece of music I make. 1. Each song should have at least one element not considered musical by most people. 2. Whenever possible, at least one mistake must be retained and turned into part of the song. the second rule has led me to making entire sections of songs made of what would be considered mistakes by most people. It' a fun challenge that succeeds more often than you'd think it would.

your system is so well organized and pleasant to look at, esthetics really is part of the fun.

i just wanna point out that john cage actually primarily used the chinese folk divining book: the I Ching, to create non-determinate compositions

So, I'm intrigued but I literally can't hear your synths. Can you raise the volume? Seriously. A good bit.

could you make small ambient video with chord+pressure points+clouds as main three modules please?

+PP AA The Chord is one of the bigger modules out there, but you do get 5 outputs (4 oscillators and a mix). It is potentially the most well-designed module I own, and it is my go-to module whenever I start a patch. Often I think people get obsessed with cramming the most amount of features into as small a package as possible, sometimes sacrificing usability - I’m more interested in tools that are playable and reliable. For me it’s more about what you do with the tools you have, as opposed to trying to use more and more features. So for me, the Chord is an excellent choice and one I stand by. Glad you enjoyed the video!

Hey, I really understand your statement about it, but as I own a 104HP case it would be ultra difficult to include a Chord in and sacrifice a lot of modules I always use. And I really think that they could reduce the size of it. really. AND I like your modular set up.

your mixer also has volume modulation per channel, could you tell me which module that is? I don't think I have seen anything like that in a mixer interesting functionality

White Noises thanks awesome work that you are doing. I am building a system with ambient textures, Brian Eno and Loscil as musical references in mind so modules that generate subtle variation over time and probability are of high interest.

+JVMC Cheers bud! 🙏🏻 That sounds really awesome, Eno and Loscil are phenomenal. If you want slow modulation, check out the sloth modules by nonlinearcircuits. Mutable Instruments Clouds is always great for ambient stuff too!

just a small note. You sad you r using a mixer, well it is a VCA with CV level input which you feed with chance. So it was a bit confusing for me why you plugged a CV in a "mixer". :)

Eep. A little to easy to short out your modules keeping patch cords in the case like that. 😳
