If you can get some extra air feeds to those filters or enclose them slightly with a diy shield. Intake temps will cause the ecu to pull timing on a hot day or after a couple of pulls. Otherwise great video, interesting to see the progression. Fully gone off M cars and a lot of cars past your generation of car. We didn’t know it then but last of an era right there. Subscribed 👍

Thank you though but I know what you mean I think it’s strange how a low of them use the same engine now too loosing their individuality and character it seems! Yeah for sure mate! @Burney_ Definitely the engines, they lost their character. I have a 140 manual but previously owned an f80 m3 (too fast for road fun unless you don't care for anyone else) M2 og (great car but prefer the n55 in the 35i) and an e36 M3 evo(raw driving). Driven quite a few others but genuinely prefer the 140 to the m2 and the f80. What it lacks in focus and feedback, it makes up for everywhere else. It's flaws give it character as you wrestle it down the road, feels like real driving by comparison. But it's still miles off the feel of anything Exx gen. If moneys no object on your quest... ohlins. 🤣

Were your downpipes really that easy? Changing them on my 335i was an 11 hour ordeal! Dropping thr subframe, lifting the engine to get access!

@@declasm yes mate just had to move steering rack out the way to get a bit more room, bear in mind though when I built this engine up I left a couple of the brackets off to make it easier to remove
