Failure is part of learning, as a child learns to walk it experiences falls yet that gives the child fear and parents, siblings and friends keep encouraging the child by helping her/him to get back up, it is an experience that teaches to continue regardless of the blunders.

Lol just me realizing i almost always go 10x like everything i do i go hard or go home lol. Though more in the craft word like writing a whole book or jumping into a complicated cross stitch design (camping frog set), quilting a fancy blanket, like i never start small i just jump into a whole project rather then doing a little at a time.

I really appreciate your openness and honesty in sharing your journey! It's inspiring to see how you're tackling procrastination and setting clear goals to overcome your fear of failure. Your plan to balance personal growth, career development, and new hobbies like origami is impressive. Good luck with getting your driver's license and diving into personal finance and screenwriting! Your commitment to self-improvement is truly motivating. Keep it up!

I just looked into "10x is easier than 2x" and it's really resonating with me. I always struggled with what seems to be the conventional wisdom of "2x behavior", e.g. doing more of the same things to get slightly better at stuff you don't even want to do in the long term. Btw Dan Sullivan (one of the guys) has a series of "mini books" on his homepage, one of them is called "My Plan For Living to 156". There are some ideas in there I've never heard anyone else talk about. It's quite short too, you should take a look!

Treat subscriptions like content - try to provide value for customers on a scheduled basis. People pay to reduce friction. Determine what you'd like them to achieve and create courses that will let people learn how to achieve thier goals or solve their problems. Just like dlc in a game, people will pay to speed up or reduce friction. Anything you can do that will help people solve their problems faster or easier are your products, and things that teach them how to do it themselves are your content for the subscription. Hopefully that all makes sense. If you do it right, i think you can grow your sub just like you grow your channel. Same concepts

If you think about it, if following 10x goals can kick start your journey, wouldnt investing in stocks and properties be relavant than incremental increases to make cources-> then sell it and then attain addequete funds to buy properties

Wow. You are gorgeous. Your story is very relatable. I have been doing travel avoidance this year too. I am in the middle of a career shift and it is a big struggle to commit to something to which the outcome is unclear. Also, if you need advice on real estate in the US, I am very knowledgeable. I know all the guidelines to which the vast majority of loans are underwritten. For real estate, there are some tricks, but it mostly comes down to income and buying a property in an area that has jobs.

I like that graph about 10x goals are "easier" to achieve as it eliminates most of the puny paths :P But how does one find that 10x goal path? How does one come up with that kind of path? When we are conditioned to follow the 2x path most of the time, we find something that feels appropriate and we follow it, it just ends up being the 2x path. Your 10x paths from pharmacology to CS to LO is inspiring but how did you build that ladder? Very useful video, I am really pumped to do something extraordinary but it feels like I will end up grasping a 2x path disguised as my own 10x path :\ Thank you.
@TinaHuang1
@TinaHuang1 5 ай бұрын
I think you start with the end goal first like I wanted to do a computer science masters or I want to build the LO program. Then with that in mind I try to figure out how to do that ie. The 10x path. If you choose a 10x goal then you have no choice but to figure out a 10x path
@v1d300
@v1d300 5 ай бұрын
@@TinaHuang1 Sorry, but I don't follow or maybe I am not understanding your perspective. Doing CS Masters or building your own business does not sound like a 10x goal. Its what a lot of people do. So, if you talk to other people who have done it or find resources to achieve those goals, you will most likely end up with 2x path, isn't it? Maybe one would have problems at start but at some point one will end up on the same 2x path as the rest. I am sort of comparing everything with the example you shared, grave robbing to understand anatomy, Now that sounds like a 10x path, I think I currently lack the ability to find those paths and maybe the the skill I need to develop first? Thank you for you reply, I think my problem is I am unable to set smaller goals for my 10x goal which are distinct and I end up with following the 2x path.

ok, but what I don't understand is how much of the 180 days is supposed to be recovery and how much "practicing?" an elite athlete spends hours every day practicing, I doubt the majority of every day is dedicated to recovery. Analogously we should spend most of our days practicing (i.e. if your studying I would think that this is the time you study) und performing on 90 days (i.e. producing outcomes like actually writing the essay or writing an exam). No? I'm confused.

Some things I've noticed with my favourite binge YT channels. Thoughty2 uses AI generated thumbnails, has been using AI generated images for quite some time now and they are getting better. Be Amazed has a "mascot" character that is consistent. Other's have consistency hidden in many parts of their channel, that sometimes get's changed to a new consistency. From what I see: Set expectation, like having a mascot/character/(cue cards). Then meet those expectations, but introduce something new and exciting. Arbitrarily 20% consistent, 80% new, or anywhere in between. Also, maybe get an intern for your thumbnails, who you can eventually pay when you get >100k views per video!!!!
