Emancipation is in my top ten favorite movies of 2022! It told a very important story, with great acting, cinematography and direction. Wil Smith was especially phenomenal as Peter. I'm glad his story was finally told. This film gets 8/10 for me. Job well done cast and crew.

Excellent movie. The inhumanity of slavery sickens me. As a person who graduated from the oldest black university in the ‘United’ States, interracial relationship for 12 years, as a teen played sports at least 30+ times with Will Smith, my grandfather was white, graduated from a predominantly white boarding school, I made the cover of one of the oldest black newspapers, The Philadelphia Tribune, with tattoos of Malcolm X and Nat Turner, 400 videos telling my unique life, this must see masterpiece I can watch over and over. Well done.
