Me and friends have spent many hours in the multi-player bot battles. Games back in those days were so much more fun

Main problem with this game is that it was rushed so there's alot of annoying glitchy behavior. Enemies will frequently glitch through solid objects and be able to shoot the player through cover and the hit detection is off. Still I can tell alot of effort and passion went in to the game its a shame it was torn apart by reviewers.

My guess real reason for it's reception is that at first combat feels bullet spongy (and to certain degree it is) - but if you spent a bit of time playing multi with bots/friends, you quicly learn how guns here operate, and that it is in fact decent and very "unique" system, that fits well with the game's design. The game needed more developement, more missions, more setpieces (too much simmilar jungle warfare), maybe few tweaks to combat (better sniper rifle and pistols) - but it's still very "medal of honor", in a sense that it feels like a spy movie, or adventure a la Indiana Jones as much as a ww2 shooter. Aaaand it's much better on ps2 because xbox controller really had awful analog sticks

I feel about the development for Medal of Honor: Rising Sun was not only code engineers leaving to make Call of Duty, but EA forced the development team, to rush through the progress while the game engine Jack Stringer, was becoming outdated.
@BrackersProductions13 жыл бұрын
Do game studios do as much research and studying of locations and sites/history nowadays? In most of these archive videos it always seems to be the case game studios did this back in the day.
@bryansteele8322 жыл бұрын
They did because they were making games back then about things and subjects that had never been done before.

They use computers to do it all now. Don't need to travel. Kinds takes all the magic from it, from finding some really amazing stuff.
@BrackersProductions1 Жыл бұрын
@@Vub. Yeah it's kinda sad really. Have you ever played oblivion? I think part of the magic was them going out and looking at beautiful locations which has made the environments still hold up today, especially the forests and dungeons.

@BrackersProductions1 have I ever played it. I have 378 nirnroots neatly stored away at my home in cheydinhal. Lol yeah its actually my favorite game of all time.

Hideo kojima went to iceland to get an idea of the landscape he wanted for death stranding. So some developers do it still but its not common sadly.

8:15 haha not 50mm its 12.5mm but .50cal ;) I loove it. I looved the game. best memorys, in fact my PS2 still works. I just played the 3rd level in the Philippines where you flee on the truck at the end. Masterpiece! I would pay premium for a rerelease with new graphics.

I love this game (even if it has many flaws), and the mission you mentioned has to be one of my favourite missions in any fps game. This game could be much better with better though out combat, more weapons, more missions etc. but it has such incredible atmosphere, and every time it feels like a adventure and not just a bunch of missions. Also i love multi with bots! Medal of Honor Underground for psx has to be my favourite ww2 fps, but Rising Sun is also really high on it. Overall i much prefer varied, experimental MoH games to very simmilar (though at least decent) CoD games.

I made this game back online again for PS2 :D I manage to recreate the matchmaking servers. With only a DNS configuration in your game you can join/host again. Story: Here is the matchmaker project what i build for Medal of Honor - Rising sun.[1] This is what i am running at the moment to distrobute all servers to you. This project will be migrated in the future to a new server. What do you gamer need to do? For NTSC version: 1: Configure Cristians DNS(45.7.228.197) in your network. 2: Have fun! For PAL version: 1: Patch your iso game with the DNAS patch.[2] 2: Configure Cristians DNS(45.7.228.197) in your network. 3: Have fun! I hope you guys have fun!
