I worked in the film industry for 35 years before I retired. Towards the end, I had become so jaded about film because I felt like filmmakers had become focused on profits and were no longer passionate about storytelling. Wicked has brought back that love and awe I had for film when my career first started. This is that magic, that escape, that emotion. I’ll treasure this film forever.

Film, movies, moving pictures has been my safe place to go escape an often challenging world for a long time and then it became the embodiment of greed. The care and thoughtfulness that went into absolutely EVERYTHING in this film is, in itself, magical. I have seen it 8 times already and it will become a part of my film library.

It was a surprise to me too! I’m not sure if Idina and Kristen are going to be in Part 2, but I have heard that some other “former Glindas and Elphabas” will be. I’ve heard Louise Dearman (first actress to play both Glinda and Elphaba), Helen Dallimore (first Glinda on West End), and Kerry Ellis (technically the second Elphaba on the West End because Idina actually played the role in the UK for a bit when it opened; she’s also the only actress, besides Idina, to have performed as Elphaba both in the US/Broadway and UK/West End). I hope they include at least a few more of the really iconic Broadway actresses; like, I’d love to see Shoshana Bean, Stephie J. Block, Megan Hilty, and Brittany Johnson (the first two played Elphaba, and the last two played Glinda). I even think some cameo from actors who played other roles would be cool to see. For example, I’d love to see cameos of some of the “former Fiyero” like the OG Broadway actor, Norbert Leo Butz, or some of the more notable replacements like Aaron Tveit, Taye Diggs, Ryan McCartan, etc.; or cameos from Christopher Fitzgerald and/or Alex Brightman for Boq!

Someone made a cool theory or thought that the post credit would involve both the og’s receiving a script titled wicked . Implying galinda knows deep down and wanting to spread the true story of the wicked witch through song. I honestly think it’d be a perfect medium to those that hoped galinda knew she was still alive and also keeping it low key to not ruin the tragedy

I've never seen a Broadway show, knew nothing about this movie other than it was a Wizard of Oz prequel and even that I wasn't sure of. Saw this movie with some of my family a few days ago and was immediately drawn in and was blown away by the end. It was FANTASTIC! Great story, wonderful music, perfect cast! I'm now a big, new fan!!! Absolutely LOVED IT!!!! Can't wait for part 2 (which I know nothing about story wise)!
