@TStevens82964 жыл бұрын
Kyle, I have a couple tips for you that will hopefully help you in the future. When you sand blast metal down to it's raw form, try using either etching primer (greenish) or epoxy primer. Both have really good adhesion to raw metal and seal it the best. And for stuck/seized bolts- when you use the mini ductor to get it red on both ends, poor some cold water on just the bolt after you've heated it. It will expand it and then shrink it, breaking the rust free enough to hammer it out. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@argen8094 жыл бұрын
Tyler S I don’t know if you ever worked on a Honda but when they’re stuck they’re stuck you won’t get the out ever I’ve tried it all head cold drill the middle all of it the problem is the bolts have lines on the sides that allow rust to build and then there’s no movement

@@geedawgzzz bro what? It's just a fact that the driveshaft cant take 1000hp. There was no hate in that comment. To add to that, the axles probably won't survive either.
@Azkanse4 жыл бұрын
@@geedawgzzz Bro stop commenting. Nobody is saying they hope it breaks. But we have all been around race cars long enough to know something in the rear end is going to break. It isn't hating, it's reality. Either the diff is terrible, the long driveshaft twists, or the axles snap. The odds of stock 25 year old van parts holding 1000+whp on a prepped track is very low.

5:30 lol took several pictures of my rear end...You’re the man, I admire what your doing, I wish I had a friend like you when I was younger. I did have one buddy I would build on the side with when I worked at Mannheim but he was just a transfer student and went back to Michigan.

Kyle, when you get a chance, please triangulate those down tubes for the carrier bearing, the rotation of the shaft will try to shift the tube sideways now that you've stopped up and down play. Awesome build, can't wait to see it ripping on the track.
