It's finally here - my kitchen makeover part 1! 🎉 Thanks for joining us on our DIY & home designs journey each week, we appreciate you guys so much!! But we want to know: what do YOU think about these longer, more chatty, more vlog-style makeover videos? Do you love every second, do you wish there was more tutorial, do you find they drag on too much, are you just here to watch a good time and don't particularly care how long or what style they are? Let us know below so that we can make more of what ya wanna see! ❤️

Love the backsplash! But it doesn't go with the counters at all....:(

I think it’s the grout that doesn’t go. Before she put the grout I thought it matches pretty good, with the gray tone of the thinset showing. Sad because I love that backsplash.
@annaanna6411
@annaanna6411 3 жыл бұрын
@@alexisherman6065 yeah. the grout is too yellow. pretty on it's own but clashing with the cooler countertop. I think a more cool toned cream/grey would have been a better compromise.

I hate that busy backsplash with that busy counters
@derrickandfish
@derrickandfish 3 жыл бұрын
That backsplash would be better suited if the counters were butcher block, one rule of thumb is when you have a busy counter do a solid backsplash like a subway tiles, if she would of done like a darker gray grout if might of been more successful

Here for ideas myself my now husband paired sort of busy counters with this exact backsplash. 😳 with whitewashed cabinets and darl tongue and groove ceiling and dark reddish stain on all the doors and trim. Yes you guessed it a hot mess all in 1100 square foot of space. Oh and don't forget worn saltio tiles on the floor with deep unlevel grooves. Wth man

I love this so much! It reminds me of the old Spanish houses we have here in the Philippines. The outdoor sinks usually have a backsplash very similar to that one.

Talk about relatable DIYs, I’ve been wanting that pan holder for like a year and keep putting off buying it cause it’s like $100. That was awesome, and I’m seriously thinking about making my own now!!

Such an inspiration Becky!! I once screwed up putting up stick-on tiles and ended up pulling out the original tiles with it... I was able to glue them back on and grout them and everything, and I was wise enough to leave it well alone after that! Learned to appreciate what I was given lol Now you've given me faith that one day I can replace the tile for real!!

The counter tops look so much better with the new backsplash! You were so right that it was too green because of the green in the tile. Really gives me some ideas about problems in my own space. ✌️Thank you
