You want to use regular sewing machine because the seams made with serger are pretty weak. As far as I know, serger is meant be used on strechy fabric when sewing seams (you can finish any fabric with serger). When sewing with stretchy material you could just sew it with regular sewing machine and stretch the fabric while sewing and it's alright (it might look wrinkled but just press it carefully). 👍 I try to use serger to only finishing the seams bc my serger is just so bad. Edit: I check in reddit and you can sew woven fabrics with serger. It is probably just my serger that is so bad I can barely sew the strechy ones.
